Fort Smith Ark He had been at Fort Sill ever since he waa inducted nearly two years ago and was attached to the reception center The reception center waa moved to Fort Smith and he went with it His wife will join him soon Mr and Mrs Lawrence Barton received a letter Tuesday from their aon Victor Barton fireman first class who la stationed in the Hawaiian islands saying ho had met up with hia brother Orville Gene Barton fireman second claaa The meeting was a complete surprise as Victor thought hia brother waa still in this country and had gone to the poatoffice to mail letter to him He saw Orville Gene peas the poatoffice and went out and grabbed him The latter had just srrlved in the islands Pvt Bill Snake Ponca Indian who spent much of his time around Apache before he joined the army made a brie visit here recently upon hia return from overaeaa From here he went to Oklahoma City where he was married to Ida Lena Blueback of Ponca City That city ia also home Bill who la 27 haa quite a war record He was wit the 45th division whsn it waa activated and went overaeaa in March 1942 He was with the 45th during the Sicilian campaign and also waa a member of the famed Rangers first
