This has been made possible by the ready response of the State Roads Commission and the county commissioners in furnishing the means and showing a ready co-operation for better roads.

Seven miles of road has been resurfaced from 'Frederick to Urbanu. This section has becu oiled and clipped as far as the.bridge, a distance of three and a tVaJf miles where tho road intersects with. the cut-off and. the relocation -to I'rbana begins, which is two miles in length- Thin change will greatly reduce the grade and distance. The ch'anga was cordially welcomed, for it' was regarded as 'more healthy weather. The' prospects of firing the furnace expensive, coal, caused some, to be pessimistic. The weather bureau in Washington predicts frost tonight in the western portion and much cooler weather. Ton'lght and tomorrow will be fair. The local observer also believes that there will, be frost tonight, provided I he wind subsides.
