Coleman, an early settler of Brookfield and well-known in the county, died from the effects of a slight injury received some months ago while working on a marsh. The injury consisted of a cut on the middle finger of the left hand, inflicted by a spear of grass, a piece of which remained in the flesh and worked in as far as the bone where it lodged and finally caused a poisoning of the entire system. The funeral took place on Saturday and was largely attended, the remains being interred in the Waukesha cemetery.
