Interested he is not supporting anv can didate ami both he and tho commission ers are insisting on a fair primary Custom ollowed in Past The law provides for tlie hoard of county commissioners to select the vot ing places and inspectors and it has long been the custom for the county chairman to prepare the list and submit it to the commissioners who usually accept it With feworno changes When that was done however tho commissoners and the chair man were on terms of co operation but under the present situation that is not the case rTvu of the county commissioners are vitally interested in the forthcoming pri Charles Maguire who is it candi date lor renonnuation and Jarnos Kervan who is a candidate ior county' treasurer Au advantage if? to bo gained in the se lection of the voting treasurer is receiving the support of the city Democrats and Kervan undoubtedly is xeceiyjng the support of the countv or ganization On the nomination for treas urer thei Is a clean cut Tight between the city and county organization In the Tecent municipal campaign when Lyons Was city chairman he built up an organi zation In every ward and precinct in sup port of Mayor Bell and a great many of the men who made up that organization now are holding jobs under the Demo cratic city administration By reason of that circumstance Iyons is able to a large working force in his be half Kervan Also Has Support On the other hand Kervan lias the county' organization working in his be half by reason of patronage which the commissioners control Taking these circumstances into con sideration it was predicted Hast night that the commissioners would disregard the usual rule to accept the recom mendations ot the county chairman In naming the inspectors and fixing the tvoting places I The duel fight in the coming primaryWill center in the nomination of a can ididate for countv treasurer althoughthere is a contest on for practically ievery county' office In the race for sheriff 1 neodore ortt eus
