'Donahue' will feature Puyallup murder case The case of murdered Puyallup teen Denise Sallee will be featured on today'll program The show airing at 3 pm on KINO will focua on unaolved Larry Meeks Sallee waa 17 when ahe disappeared in January 1986 from the Paradise Village Bowl in Parkland Her nude atrangled body waa found by Jeremy Haratad then 7 in his Parkland back yard The boy found the body while searching for bottles and cana to sell to recyders The case has not been solved -Harstad and the victim's mother Judy Sallee will appear on the On television and in the movies it ia OK to say Men Cant Jump or refer to a white man as but try those derogatory remarks toward a minority and yon will find yourself slapped with a lawsuit There are state- and government-funded colleges exclusively for minorities I have known of white people turned down for jobs and pro- motions -even though they were more qualified than the minority applicants because the company was obligated to fill a minority quota Many times a minority cannot be fixed no matter how bad hu or her conduct may be because of the thnat of a lawsuit Minorities are not the only ones having to deal with prejudice and discrimination in this country: What do you believe? Sarah Dear Sarah: I believe that lawlessness civil ifanhariienns mil pwqiutine regnrHlwa nf raw will lead to the destruction of a nation I believe racial names should be outlawed in a multicultural society I believe spy college that is race- or sex-exclusive should not receive any government funding However I do not know of any college that is exclusively for minorities I believe this society should work toward establishing one system that is unbiased for afl with these top lOO people In fact the only UJ3 president listed was George Washington At the end of the book the author gives another list of names: people who would have been included if the roster was extended to 200 people Dr King was listed here along with James Madison Abraham Lincoln franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman This author along with millions of other people thinks King is well deserving of the honors bestowed upon him and I do too Dear Lany: I was an infantryman in the Army and I'm extremely patriotic There are a few things that bother me: I have never seen a black person wear the colors of the United States unleaa they are in the armed services and going to war Why isnt there a white-history month? Why doea the race that makes up only 25 percent of the population get a national holiday? There are holidays for white presidents but the government aod most businesses do not allow a day off on those days like they do for Martin Luther King Jr Day Did King do more for this country than any of the other great men in American history?
