Circles Met The three clay circles of the WSCS met Wednesday, Feb. 1. •Circle 1, in the home of Mrs Cecil Baker, assisted by Mrs S. R. Baker. Guests were Mrs Clifford Baker, Llvermore and Mrs Walton DeWitt. . Devotions, Mrs Grover Rent?, and lesson given by Mrs Jess Jergensen. Mrs Harold Wolf, circle chairman, presided at routine business. Circle 2, in the home of Mrs Ray Stone, assisted by Mrs William Murray of Livermore. Devotions, Mrs Earl Neal, lesson given by Mrs Jessie Sanford. Mrs Sanford, circle chairman, presided at routine business. Circle 3. met in Methodist church rooms with hostesses, Mrs Duane Neal and Mrs Earl Detmering. Mrs Robert Kessinger was a guest. Devotions, Mrs Earl Neal, lesson, Mrs Albert Genrich. A memorial for Mrs Phil C. Lichty and Mrs Alice Anderson, long time members was /given. After meeting Mrs Genrich spoke on the American Indians. secretary of youth\vork were Mrs Arthur Maass, Mrs Albert llcfti and Mrs Harry Naffziger respec lively. Mrs Wolf .led the devotional son-vice and Mrs Orville Hurlburt had the lesson study. Closinu thought for the meeting was given by Mrs Fred Merklo. Six juiests were in attendance. Mrs Andrew Marty was the hostess. Church Group Elects The Woman's Socety of World Service met Thursday afternoon in the rooms of the Evangelical United Brethren church. Their pastor the Rev. J. Paul Stevens conducted the election of new officers for the new year. Mrs Bernard Wolf was re-elected president; Mrs Edwin Hefti elected vice-president. Re-elected secretary-treasurer and recording Birthday Dinner Mr and Mrs Stanley Genrich were Monday evening dinner guests in the home of Mr and Mrs Earl Johns in honor of the birthday of Stanley Genrich. After the dinner he and Mrs Genrich were pleasantly surprised when friends came in for a birthday party. Cards were played with awards. Mrs Dean Bowman. Verlaine Johnson, John Bockes and Stanley Gcnricli. At close of play refreshments were served. Stanley received gifts from the guests, Mr and Mrs John Bockes, Mr and Mrs Robert Nielson, Mr and Mrs Dean Bowman, Mr and Mrs Harold Trauger. Miss Verlaine Johnson and Junior Hardcopf. Mrs Paul Northrop has returned to her home from Lutheran hospital. Fort Dodge, where she had been a patient for 12 clays. Mrs Gordon Gregory entered Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, Wednesday for observation. Mr and Mrs Richard Gronbach moved Thursday afternooti from the Robert Sanford residence to the residence owned by Elmer Bager and recently vacated by Mrs Anna Blumer. Mr and Mrs Bert Putzstuck recently purchased the small residence owned by Mr and Mrs Robert Sanford of Palm Dale. Calif Mr and Mrs Joe Putzstuck and Kimberly, son and daughter-in- law will assist his father on the farm. They will move to occupy the home in LuVerne. A/1C Richard Thomas arrived Saturday from Rapid City, S. D where he just received his discharge. Dick spent four years in the Air Force with overseas service. He is at the parental, Mr and Mrs Bert Thomas home. Mr and Mrs Jerry Miller, sons. Steven and Michael arrived Wednesday from Almogorcla, N. M. Jerry, who had spent four years in Air Force, received his discharge Jan. 27. They are at the home of Mrs Miller's mother. Mr and Mrs Dean Bowman, brother and sister Dale and Myrma Larimer. Enroute here they visited his parents, Mr and Mrs Henry Miller and Dennis in Mason City. Harold Tiecle of Ada, Minn, visited his aunts, Mrs Clara Wolf and Mrs Edward Ramus and other relatives Wednesday and Thursday. He was enroute to spent some time in California. Mr and Mrs Judian M. Weltha returned Tuesday from their honeymoon trip to the southern states and are at the parental Mr and Mrs Edwin Marty home. They will be at home on a farm near Randall. Farmer Hurt In Truck Mishap Glenn Mino, Swea City farmer, is recovering from a fall out of the back end of a truck driven by his son, Larry. They were hauling hay to the Al Barslou farm when the accident happened. He- had a chipped shoulder bftide and neck and head injuries. The accident happened at the Barslou farm where Mino keeps stock. Low hanging wires swept the elder Mino from the truck, catching him just under the chin.
