incumbent Don Cunningham and Pat Rasmusseii were elected as Councillors John McKenzie and Barb Repas were defeated Rasmussen received 419 votes Cunningham 411 votes Repas 401 and McKenzie 384 In the Central Ward Karen Bertamini and Don Guidolin were reelected and Dorothy Bergos was defeated Bertamini received a fair percentage of the vote with 746 ballots cast in her favor Guidolin received 326 votes and Bergos received 331 votes Layton Thomas and Harry Stables were elected by acclamation in the West Ward Wheatland County' The October 19 election saw a very close race in two of Mark look at experiencing growth and is embarking on a number of projects to keep up with that expansion The September 30 enrollment figures which are used to determine how much funding a school will receive have exceeded the school opening figures Enrollment figures for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in Golden Hills now totals 6401 This represents a 377 percent increase over the 5995 students enrolled at the beginning of the school year To keep up with this expansion a number of projects are planned The Golden Hills Board of Trustees has passed a resolution to purchase two acres of land adjacent to the door these unknown individuals continued their destruction inside the tomb destroying many props which were stored inside -clay pots vases plastic trees blankets and costumes ail of which were later strewn on the ground around the tomb building "It is very isolated out here It is easy for people to do damage without being detected" Peterson explained The tomb building the only structure at the Passion Play site which has been disturbed Previously vandals also tried to pry their way inside the lower stage building by smashing the doorknob off of one of be a toy or food items for the Salvation Christmas campaign The day is sure to be a whole lot of fen fra1 everyone In order to make the parade a success the organizers of the Santa Claus Parade the Drumheller Regional Chamber of Development ft Tourism urge everyone to start planning their entries keeping the Tfeddy Bear Christmas theme in mind Those who plan to enter the parade should call the Chamber office at 823-8100 as soon as possible to register Once the approximate number of entries has been determined a route for the parade can then be planned going to be a Teddy Bear Christmas this year at least as far as the annual Santa Claus Parade is concerned The Drumheller Committee voted in favor of adopting the teddy bear theme for this year's parade and has also selected a date The parade will be held on Saturday December 5 at 1 pm In years put the parade has been held on a Friday evening After the parade families can together enjoy a classic Christmas movie "Miracle on 34th Street" at the Napier Theatre
