Long Beach, Friday, Ock. 1953 and came to Long in 1918. He was a captain in World War I and commanded an Army hospital in France. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal parish, Berkeley Lodge 134, and Scottish Rite Freemasons.

He practiced medicine for 30 years in Pasadena and Long Beach before retiring 25 years ago. He leaves no surviving relatives. Masonic service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Patterson Snively Mortuary followed by private interment. DOUGHTY Elizabeth Jean Doughty, 14, of 2414 Zandia pupil in Will Rogers Junior high school, died Wednesday in Santa Ana.

Born in San Diego, she had lived here since 1948. She was a member of St. John's Community Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her parents, Warrant and Mrs. George Far Doughty; brothers, George and Charles; sisters, Carolyn and Jessie Ann, at home; her grandparents, Mr.

and Mrs. Charles Doughty, Fred Hamm, and Mrs. Margaret M. Taylor of Long Be Beach. Service will be directed by Mottell's Mortuary.

BIBLE Mrs. Alpha Elmira Bible, of 153 Covina died Thursday in a Long Beach hospital. A native Pekin, she here in 1949. Surviving are her husband, Parl V. Bible, and her mother, Mrs.

George, Anna Ahrends of Long Service will be Saturday noon in Mottell's Mortuary chapel, with Rev. Willard A. Schurr officiating. Entombment will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum. LEITHOLD (Palos Verdes).

Kurt F. Leithold, 82, of 3229 Vial LaSelva, died Thursday in a Los Alamitos rest. home. A native of Germany, he lived in Indiana where he was a boilermaker until retiring. He came to Long Beach 30 years ago.

Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Frieda L. Worsey of Palos Verdes, and Mrs. Edna H. Strawsburg of Long Beach; and sons.

Albert A. Leithold and Kenneth K. Leithold of Long Beach. Service will be Saturday at 1 p. m.

092153.A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO LEASE SCHOOL PROPERTY WHEREAS, the School District will not require the use of Lot 20 of Tract No. 7364, in the City of Long Beach, as per map recorded in Book 84. pages 13 and 14 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and also known as 2265 Webster Avenue, beginning November 1, 1953 and ending November 1, 1954. and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Education to rent the aforesaid property for such time it not needed by the District, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the said Board of Education that it declare its intention to offer for lease the aforementioned property for such time needed by the District, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the minimum rental which will be accepted for the use of the proplerty will be Seventy and Legal Notice Dollars, ($70.00) for the first month, and Seventy and Dollars ($70.00) for each and every month thereafter, payable in advance with the last month's rent to be paid in and no utilities to be furbaste nished except water. Payment of rental is due advance delivery of the premises.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this lease may be terminated within the above expressed term by the riving by either party of notice in writing BE FURTHER RESOLVED that sealed proposals shall be recelved at the regular meeting of the Board of Education at 4:00 P. on Menday, October 19, 1953, and will be considered approximately that hour. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that oral bids will be received provided such oral bids exceed by at least five percent the highest of the said written proposals the next preceding oral bid. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Assistant Secretary be instructed to publish this resolution in the Long Beach Independent not less than once week for three successire weeks before the meeting. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Assistant Secretary be instructed to publish this resolution by posting copy of the said resolution in three public places in the District.

BE FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids land to withdraw the property from lease should it deem such action for the best publis interest.
