Scrofula Cured! The True Eight. M. A. Root, the great Daguerreotypist of this city, has fitted up a room in the third story of his establishment, expressly to obtain the manifest advantage of the northern light. The light from that direction is necessarily sought by all painters, because of its firmness and uniformity, and Mr.

Root, with consummate tact, resolved to avail himself of this aid, to correct shadows. The Boston Atlas speaks of the portraits by the distinguished Daguerreotypist, M. A. Root, and was astonished to find that the art had been carried to such a high degree of perfection. Mr.

Root, by some new chemical discoveries, has been enabled to transfer the human countenance to the Daguerreotype plate with an accuracy and fidelity altogether inconceivable. Even the joyous and laughing face of the infant is transferred inan instant to the enduring silver plate with astonishing accuracy, notwithstanding in infant life there is scarcely a second of time, during waking hours, when the body is entirely at rest. The North American and United States Gazette says of a Family Groupe of Mr. Root "It was universally acknowledged worthy of being classed among the first triumphs of this heaven-born The Daily News praises Mr. Root's "most admirable display, as the most beautiful and perfect gems of the art." The City Item says "We are delighted as Philadelphians, to learn that Mr.

Root took the medal and highest premium for his superb pictures both in New York and Boston, over all competition. This is indeed a triumph! Root's pictures are as near perfect as it is possible to get. There is thought, delicacy, finish, and the highest degree of artistic excellence ra them." "The perfection of art." Boston Star. The period may be delayed for several years by using this medicine. Nor is it less valuable to those who are approaching womanhood, as it is calculated to assist nature by quickening the blood and invigorating the system. Indeed, this medi-cineis invaluable for all of the delicate diseases to which women are subject. It braces the whole system, renews permanently the natural energies, by removing the impurities of the body, not so far stimulating the system as to produce a subsequent relaxation, which is the case with most medicines taken for female weakness and disease.
