The elections in the other sixteen districts will be held at the places where the Selectmen and held elections when the aforesaid districts were known as Townships. The polls to opdn at 9 o'clock a. and close at 4 o'clock p. m. On motion, it was unanimously agreed by the Board of Examiners to urge upon the citizens in the various School Districts in the county the im? portance of urning out on the day of election and? securing by' election three competent and good men as Trustees for their School District.

Upon a close examination of the law, it will be seen that these Trustees have powers delegated to them un? der the Act which, if properly discharged, will prove a blessing to tire District they represent. The election of incompetent mtn to said office will be a source of much confusion and annoyunce to the School District. A close examination of the Act wili at once convince every reader of the im? portance of this suggestion. WM. H.

WM. M. BIRD Solo Proprie tors, And Dealers in Strictly Oils and Paints, No 208 East Bay, Charleston, S. Walters Sc Baker, Agents, Andersons. Jan 13, 1870 8m ETIWAN" SOLUBDE MANURES, and SULPHURIC ACID, MANUFACTURED AT the direction of DR.

N. A. PRATT, Cbenuet for the Sul? phuric Acid and Super-Phosphato Company. Soluble Phosphoric Acid, in the form of Soluble Phosphate of Lime, or Dfssoired Bone is the basis of all good Fertilizers, and these are valuable in the ratio of Solahle Phosphoric Aeid which is in them. The immense deposits of Phosphatio Guanos which were discovered in 1367' in South Carolina, by Dr.

Pratt, consists mainly of Insoluble Phosphate of Lime, which is made available as a Fer? tilizer by being ground to powder, and reduced by Sulphuric Acid to such a condition as to mako its insoluble phosphate soluble in water, and thus made capable of being taken up by growing plants. The insoluble Phosphate found in any commercial Fertilizer is of no more value to -the plant than the original 'Phosphate rock. Tfi? greater the proportion of this Soluble Phosphate Which any Fertilizer contains, the less the quantity required per acre, and consequently the cheapest.Fertilizer is that containing the highest centage of Soluble Phosphate. Impressed with these truths, the Sulphuric Acid and Super-Phosphate Company have erected at Charleston the. first extensive Acid Chambers South of Baltimore, and are able to offer to plas? ters the highest per centage, of Soluble Phosphale of Limt known in any market.

Their Fertilizers are offered under two formst: 1. ETIWAN, NO. Pbosphale, guaranteed to contain 24 per oont. of Dissolved Bone Phosphate of Lime, $60 per ton, 10 percent, discount for cash. 2.

ETIWAN, NO. Superphosphate, guaranteed to contain 20 per cent! of Dissolved Bone Phosphate, and to 8 per cent of Aromonis, with a sufficient addition of Peruvian Guano to adapt it to all crops, $70 per ton, 10 per cent, discount for cash, We also offer Dissolved? Bone, of high grade; for planters or manufacturers, who may desire to mix into any other compost, aud we suggest that this is the best and cheapest method for manufac? turers to transport the Sulphuric Acid contained in the mixture.
