She was born Nov. 2, 1949, at Champaign, a daughter of Elmer G. and Laura Ellen Fawver Stevenson. She married Anthony M. Motto Dec.

23, 1977, at Sarasota, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was an active member of the First Christian Church, Bloomington, where she was a deacon and church board secretary. She served as a Junior Youth Fellowship coach and was an instructor for the First Place Program. She also served as a volunteer at Sheridan School in Harriet V.

Parkhurst Harriet V. Parkhurst, 75, of 2816 N. Bigelow Court, Peoria, mother of John W. Parkhurst, Normal, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday (May 7, 1996) at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Federated Church, Peoria, the Rev. Robert R. Gillogly officiating. She will be cremated.

Visitation will follow the memorial service at the church. Wright and Salmon Mortuary, Peoria, has charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. He was born Dec. 29, 1959, in Ottawa, the son of Leo and Diana (Evensen) Sauvageau. He was the 1978 class president at Ottawa Township High School and graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in communications. Mr. Sauvageau was president and founder of Quality Student Rentals Inc.

Mr. McNamara died at 10:45 a.m. Monday (May 6, 1996) after an auto accident at Illinois 251 and Illinois 116. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. McNamara was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Minonk Township, Woodford County, a son of William and Julia Feider McNamara. He married Elsie Rippel Jan. 4, 1944, in Minonk.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Mr. McNamara was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Minonk; Holy Name Society; Parish Council for nine years; church trustee for eight years; MinonkDana-Rutland School Board for years; Woodford County Ag Extension Council; Woodford County Farm Bureau; and 50-year member of Knights of Columbus 3rd degree. He was a 4-H leader for Diamond Creek 4-H Club.

He was a lifelong farmer in the Mi-Dana area. The family is deeply appreciative to God for the time we've shared with this kind and gentle man. Ralph W. Neu STREATOR Ralph W. Neu, 74, of 1109 Jessie Streator, died at 2:50 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Alwes Reum; daughter, Joyce Schippert Tharp, Burton, a son, Ronald K. Reum, Chicago; a sister, Betty Twenty, Zionsville, six stepchildren; seven grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was born June 3, 1917, at Deer Creek, a son of Arthur A. and Pearl Marlow Reum. He married Mabel Alwes May 28, 1939, at Danvers.

Mr. Reum was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Leo Reum; and a sister, Margaret Stephens. He was retired. He had worked for 20 years for Caterpillar Tractor Co. and was a farmer for 35 years.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Danvers, and the El Paso Golf Club. Shelly REDDICK Corwin H. Shelly, 73, of rural Reddick died at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday (May 7, 1996) at his residence. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Reddick United Methodist Church, the Rev.

Steve Goodin officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Von Qualen-Harris Funeral Home, Dwight, and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Round Grove, Campus. Memorials may be made to the Reddick United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Verla; two daughters, Corinne Krieg, Bourbonnais, and Ginger Palmer, Reddick; a son, Craig Shelly, Coal City; and a brother, Norwood Shelly, Reddick. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Valera Shelly; two sons-in-law, Jerry Krieg, Bourbonnais; and Chuck Palmer, Reddick; one daughter-inlaw, Laurie Shelly, Coal City; and six grandchildren, Melissa Krieg, Justin, Joshua and Jamie Shelly, and Renae and Trista Palmer. and Mildred Oberlin Shelly. He married Verla M. Bossert April 25, 1943, at Reddick. He served in World War II with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S.

Boxer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Reddick, the Reddick Lions Club and the Studabaker Car Club. He was educated at the Reddick grade and high schools and at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He was a farmer and worked at Miles Pentax Laboratories and as a Snap On tool dealer. Spicer STREATOR Harry L. Spicer, 37, of No. 3 Del Monte Trailer Court, Streator, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday (May 6, 1996) at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. His graveside service will be at 11 a.m.

Spicer is survived by his parents, Lee and Bonnie Spicer, Streator; a brother, Russell Spicer, Saybrook; and two sisters, Debbie Pearson, Mancas, and Susan Jensen. Ruth I. Stalter EUREKA Ruth I. Stalter, 89, of Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Eureka, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday (May 7, 1996) at the nursing home.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Roanoke Mennonite Church, rural Roanoke, the Rev. Elmer Wyse, the Rev. Rick Troyer and the Rev. Robert Harnish officiating.

17, 1907, in Eureka, a daughter of Amos and Katie Householder Neuhauser. She married Lee Stalter Feb. 29, 1928, in Eureka. He died Feb. 24, 1990.

She was preceded in death by one son, John, two sisters and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Stalter was a member of Roanoke Mennonite Church. Bloomington-Normal Charles B. Allen Charles B.

Allen, 74, of Rockford, formerly of Bloomington, died April 28, 1996, at his residence. His funeral was May 1 at Sunset Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Paul H. Wold officiating. Burial is in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Rockford.

Locust Bloomington, died at 2:22 p.m. Monday (May 6, 1996) at his residence. No foul play is suspected. The McLean County coroner's office is investigating. Arrangements are pending at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Milton "Pete" Crutchof 97 Summer formerly of a McLean native, Ivan Crutcher Ivan Crutcher Survivors include one daughter, Darlyne Sims, San Diego; four sisters, Violette Beardsley, Eva Armes, Irene Bitter and Pauline Meyer, all of Bloomington; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Crutcher was born May 5, 1916, in McLean, to David and Hattie Cowan Crutcher. His parents; his first wife, Betty Inez Davis Crutcher; his second wife, Josephine Gravitt Crutcher; a son, Larry and five brothers preceded him in death.

He was raised in Bloomington and moved to Florida in 1959. Mr. Crutcher was a longtime businessman, bartender and owner of a tavern, The Spider Web, located at 221 E. Front Bloomington. 1.

He was a retired traffic maintenance foreman for the city of Daytona Beach. He was a member of Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church. He enlisted and served in the Army: as a corporal during World War II and was discharged March 2, 1946. He also was a talented singer specializing in country music as well as popular music and was an avid guitarist and tenor banjo player. Joanne L.

Helling Joanne L. Helling, 66, of 306 Rowe Drive, Bloomington, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday (May 7, 1996) at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington. Richard Samuel Hunt Richard Samuel Hunt, 47, at St.

Augustine, died at 8:34 p.m. Friday (May 3, 1996) at St. Joseph Medical Center emergency room. There will be no service. He was cremated.

Dr. Paul Dr. Paul Dr. Sheffler is Sheffler survived by his mother, Carrie Louis Sheffler, 2025 E. Lincoln Bloomington; his wife, Hattie Koons Sheffler; five sons, Paul W.

Sheffler Minnesota; Allen E. Sheffler, Virginia; Chris S. Sheffler, Indiana; Robert L. Sheffler, Washington state; and Ora Keith Sheffler, Colorado; a brother, Bill Sheffler, California; a sister, Maxine Bolen, Normal; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.

Dr. Sheffler was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Orient, a son of Ora A. and Carrie Louis Sheffler. He married, Hattie Koons Dec.

12, 1941, in Missouri. Dr. Sheffler was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the medical corps for 25 years. He was in the medical practice of Medical Hills Internists, Bloomington, for 13 years and assistant medical director for State Farm Insurance retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, and the Westminster Village Foundation Board. He also was associated with Planned Parenthood and the Tuberculosis Clinic. Dr. Sheffler was a member of the American Medical Association; Illinois Medical Association; McLean County Medical Association; and the Scott Health Resources Commission Board. Jeronimus, 31, of 311 Lindell Drive, Apt. 4, Normal, fined $500 and sentenced to two years of court supervision for driving under the influence of alcohol and conviction for improper lane usage. Alcohol Aaron D. Sullivan, 24, of Rockton, fined $500 and sentenced to two years of court supervision for driving under the influence of alcohol and conviction for no headlamps when required. Must complete recommended treatment. Alcohol Ming Wong, 31, of 1219 Hovey Lot 26, Normal, fined $400 and sentenced to two years of probation and 60 days in McLean County Jail, stayed pending remission hearing Dec. 5, for driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Must complete recommended treatment. Alcohol, battery Donna A. Stillson, 34, of 700 N. Adelaide Apt. 67, Normal, fined $250 and sentenced to two years of conditional discharge for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Also sentenced to concurrent two years of conditional discharge for battery. Original felony count of aggravated battery amended by court to misdemeanor charge on motion by state's attorney's office. Must complete recommended treatment and make a $250 contribution to Crime Detection Network. Suspended license Oli Mohammadi, 22, of Champaign, fined $400 and sentenced to one year of conditional discharge for driving while driver's license suspended. Also sentenced to concurrent one year of conditional discharge for a second charge of driving while driver's license suspended.

Resisting, damage Gregory S. Graham, 22, of 610 N. Roosevelt Apt. Bloomington, sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge and 180 days in McLean County Jail, with credit for 79' days served, for resisting a peace officer by struggling, criminal damage to vehicle and disorderly conduct. Battery Jeffery L.

Ennis, 42, Farmer City, fined $200, domestic violence fine $100 and sentenced to 18 months of conditional discharge for battery..
