tha speed and cleverness that has characterised their play all season RMC carried (he red-and-whlte to a decisive victory In the RMC-St Mlke'a final at the Richardson Stadium on Saturday afternoon and are again intermediate champions of the Intercolfeglate Union The crowd was not as large as in former Important games here tha grand stand being only partially filled with tho bleachers Showing tho same proportion of attendance In one corner of the bleachers the neat and trim cadets formed a solid square of enthusiastic rooters and they never let up encouraging their hard working representatives on the field Among those In the grand stand waa that active little man Dr Grenfell who thoroughly enjoyed tho game Although It was a cold aimless day the weather waa all that could be desired this time of the year with a slight breeze blowing down the field from the north-west To add to tha Interest and enjoyment of the game the RCHA hand entertained the fans to some delightful music from time to time One of (he most brilliant features of the very successful afternoon was the drill by the cadets under' Major Jeffries at half-time interval To those accustomed to college freoik entertainments at the half-time session the appearance of the erect scarlet coated cadets going through their drill with clockwork precision was a delightful and pleasing change In a team composed of stars it is hard to pick out any special one It may be said that young Carr-Harris and 8mlth on the back division stood out well both as ground gainers and In their swift and aura tackling Both of these boys waded through a broken field time after time for consistent and long gains Offensively and defensively the cadets were the better team their interference being perfect and a line like a stone wall which the Irish could not penetrate For SL Fournier the stel- Leadley hooted the play to mid-field and Hughes slammed It right tack Leadley took a poke at Wilson when he threw him Into touch and waa fenced for three minutes Fear grabbed Queen's short Mck at mid-field and Argoa had another chance but they loat the ball on the return kick McCurry took Bond's punt on the fly and Argoa had another
