THE PANTAGRAPH, THURSDAY, SEPT. 22, 1983 B9 ABC winner second week in row Bright Morning Star to sing Sunday at ISU Choreographer Prinz dies at 88 HOLLYWOOD (AP) LeRoy Prinz, a veteran choreographer who engineered the dance routines in such musical classics as "South Pacific" and "Yankee Doodle Dandy," died Thursday of natural causes at age 88. Prinz spent three decades choreographing such films as "Rhapsody in Blue" and "Sayonora." He accumulated more than 150 credits for such films as "The Desert Song," "April Showers," 'Tea for Two," "The Jazz Singer" (1953) and several Bob Hope and Bing Crosby "road" movies. concert in July 1982 at ISU. The Peace and Justice Coalition of ISU will be the sponsor of the Sunday concert.

Advance tickets for the program may be obtained at Roper's Acoustics, 111 E. Beaufort Normal, and Common Ground, 516 N. Main Bloomington. Tickets also my be purchased at the door Sunday evening. Bright Morning Star, a group of folk singers and instrumentalists based in Boston, will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Sept 25 in Hayden Auditorium on the Illinois State University campus. The six singers, songwriters, and storytellers have an album "Arisin'," released by Rainbow Snake Records. Nielsen Co. ratings in a spectacular premiere, carrying ABC to its second victory in a row.

"Hardcastle McCormick," which made its debut in a two-hour movie, finished five full ratings points ahead of its nearest rival. It helped give ABt us first Sunday victory in non-special programming since October 1980. The show, which stars Brian Keith and Daniel Hugh Kelly as an unlikely duo fighting crime, became the sixth highest-rated premiere since 1970. Its creator is Stephen J. Cannell, who also created NBC's "The A-Team," which was in fourth place.

It was the first time since May that ABC has won two weeks in a row. Last week the network was helped by the return of Monday night NFL pro football. The football match was first last week, but this week's game between the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs was in 24th place. The official start of the fall season doesn't come until Sept. 26, the day after the telecast of the Emmy Awards, but the three networks already have begun sneak previews of their new and returning shows.

Completing the Top 10 were ABC's "Three's Company," seventh, CBS' "Simon Simon," eighth, and CBS' "Magnum, P.I." and ABC's "9 to 5," tied for ninth place. Another ABC premiere, "Webster," was 11th. ABC's "Matt Houston," which made its season debut the week before, was 20th. NBC's "We Got It Made," which made its debut last week in second place dropped to No. 21.
