Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight. The Rev. William D. Isermann will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dwight. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Von Qualen Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. He was born March 5, 1918, in Dwight, a son of Patrick and Anna Corbley Welch. Surviving are two sisters, Evelyn Turner, Chicago, and Naomi Welch, Peoria.

Five brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Welch had been a maintenance man at a Chicago bowling establishment. Georgia D. Artis LINCOLN Georgia D.

Artis, 79, of Springfield, formerly of Lincoln, died yesterday (June 11, 1985) at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 17 at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, the Rev. Frank Beard officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Miss Artis was born Sept. 14, 1905, in Elkhart Township, a daughter of Thomas and Georgann Taylor Artis.

She is survived by a brother, Logan, Kansas City, and a sister, Vera Murrell, Springfield. She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Miss Artis was a domestic worker. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church. Guy T.

Allison LEXINGTON The funeral of Guy Treslyn Allison, 69, of 201 E. Wall Lexington, who died Monday (June 10, 1985), will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Musselman-Moore Funeral Home, Lexington. The Rev. Norman Witthuhn will officiate.

Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mr. Allison was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Ames, Iowa, a son of Felix and Florence Barrett Allison.

He married Azalia Louise Johnston Oct. 14, 1933, at Estherville, Iowa. She died March 22, 1983. Survivors include four sons, William, LeRoy; Phillip, Irving, Texas; Park, Elberton, and Ben, Clinton; a daughter, Elaine Rogowski, Chicago; a brother, Handsel, Milwaukee; and eight grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Allison was a farmer. He was a member of the Lexington Church of Christ, Uniting, and formerly was superintendent and deacon of the church. Memorials may be made to the Lexington Ambulance Fund or to St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center.

Nellie McClary STREATOR Nellie McClary, 81, of R.R. 3, Streator, died at 1:10 a.m. yesterday (June 11, 1985) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Annuciation Church, Eagle Township, LaSalle County.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Solon Funeral Home, Streator, with the rosary 1 recited at 7 p.m. Mrs.

McClary was born July 23, 1903, in Osage Township, a daughter of Edward and Katherine Dillon Prendergast. She married Everett McClary Sept. 1, 1928, in Eagle Township. He survives. Other survivors include a sister, Mary Prendergast, R.R.

3, Streator. Roy L. Whately PONTIAC Roy L. Whately, 81, a resident of Livingston Manor since 1973, died at 10:45 a.m. yesterday (June 11, 1985) at the manor.

A private funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, the Rev. Selden Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Pontiac. There will be no visitation.

He was born Sept. 28, 1903, at Gays, a son of William and Elizabeth Burrell Whately. He is survived by two brothers, Wilbur Royal Oak, and Harold, Pontiac; three sisters, Mildred Metz, Forrest; Josephine Grube, El Paso, Texas; and Harriett Giovanini, Pontiac. He attended Gays Grade School and Saunemin High School. He had been employed at the Liberty and the Greyhound Bus Depot restaurants.

Irene Wright Chester A. Long GRAND RIDGE Chester A. Long, 81, R.R. 1, died at 4:40 a.m. Monday (June 10, 1985) in Nipomo, Calif.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grand Ridge Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Grand Ridge Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1903, in Fall River Township, a son of William and Lena Harris Long. He married Romaine Tyrrell Oct. 10, 1942, in Grand Ridge. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary, Nipomo, and Byron, Grand Ridge; three daughters, Linda Poundstone and Muriel Long, both of Grand Ridge; and Martha Hertelendi, Boulder Hill; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, one in infancy. Mr. Long was a retired farmer who lived in the Grand Ridge area all his life. He was a member of the Grand Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. D.O. Fisher DeLAND Fisher, 65, of DeLand, a retired truck driver, died at 7:15 a.m. yesterday (June 11, 1985) at Burnham Hospital, Champaign. His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday at Trigg and Calvert Funeral Home, DeLand. Neil R. Leroux will officiate. Burial will be in DeLand Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Fisher was born Oct. 6, 1919, at Farmer City, a son of Charles and Minerva Rice Fisher. He married Annabelle Manning Dec. 21, 1940, at DeLand.

She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Ronald, I DeLand; Norman, Champaign; and Mark, Bloomington; a brother, Franklin Wayne, Tucson, and eight grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Memorials to Mr. Fisher may be made to the American Heart Association.

Kermit A. Dulian GRAND RIDGE Kermit A. Dulian, 76, of 1707 Sexton Drive, Rockford, and formerly of Grand Ridge, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday (June 10, 1985) at his home. His funeral will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours before the service Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Grand Ridge, a son of Mr.

and Mrs. George Dulian. He married Ann Orsini July 18, 1953, in Grand Ridge. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Kevin, Elgin; one stepson, Charles Ruff, Ottawa; one stepdaughter, Beverly Delehanty, Joliet; one brother, Russell, Ottawa; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister. Mr. Dulian had lived in Rockford the past 21 years. He was retired from the Rexham Rockford. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart while serving in the South Pacific.

Helen A. Behrends NEW HOLLAND The funeral for Helen A. Behrends, 76, R.R. 1, who died Monday (June 10, 1985), will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St.

Mary's Catholic Church, Delavan, the Rev. Paul Meismer and the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Delavan.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today Delavan, at with Woolsey the Funeral Home, rosary at 8. Mrs. Behrends was born Jan. 1, 1909, at Hartsburg, a daughter of Herman B.

and Hester Barry Armbruster. She married Henry E. Behrends on Jan. 1, 1933, in Delavan. He died Aug.

18, 1966. Survivors include two sons, James St. Louis, and Michael Elkhart; a brother, Herman B. Armbruster Hartsburg; two sisters, Marian Knecht, Lincoln, and Idella Brown, Gridley; and three grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Behrends was a teacher for several years in Logan County schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of the church, Retired Teachers Association and New Holland Woman's Club. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.

EL PASO M. Irene Wright, 83, of 60 N. Adams died at 5:33 p.m. yesterday (June 11, 1985) at the McDaniel's Nursing Home, El Paso, where she had been a resident two months. She was taken to Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso.

Bloomington-Normal Louis Kroutil Louis J. Kroutil, 75, of 905 W. Wood Bloomington, died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday (June 11, 1985) at Mennonite Hospital. He was taken to Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Mary Blobaum's mother dies at 79 ANCHOR Mabel E. Mixdorf, 79, Waverly, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, mother of Mary Lou Blobaum, Anchor, died Sunday. (June 9, 1985) at her home. She had been in ill health. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly. Burial will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to the church. Streator man's mother dies in Ottawa Freida Goetz, 77, of 906 Canal Ottawa, died at 11:07 a.m. Monday (June 10, 1985) at Ottawa Community Hospital. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Ottawa.

Burial will be in, Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Ottawa, is in charge of arrangements. Among her survivors is a son, Ralph, Streator. 4 Tremont school board positions opening this fall TREMONT Tremont District 702 school board members learned Monday night that there will be four seats open in the Nov. 5 election.

Three of the seats now occupied by David Lee, Ken Stuber and Chris Kaiser will be for four years and the remaining seat now held by Ron Brown will be for two years. Candidates must file for either a four-year or a two-year term. Petitions may be obtained at Superintendent Brock Butts' office. Aug. 19 will be the first day to file petitions and Aug.

26 the last day. Sept. 5 will be the last day to withdraw petitions. In other business the board approved a policy for home instruction by parents whose children are being taught in the home. The policy contains guidelines for testing and evaluating hometaught students whose parents may later wish to enroll them in Tremont schools.

Health club pioneer dies TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Vic Tanny, a body builder and health club pioneer, died yesterday at age 73. Tanny, of Wesley Chapel, died four days after he was admitted to University Community Hospital here, said spokeswoman JoAnn Giglio. Bert Goodrich, Tanny's brotherin-law, said Tanny suffered: a stroke several months ago. Tanny opened his first health club in his native Rochester, N.Y., in 1932 and opened another in Santa Monica, in 1939.

The chain grew and, at one time, included more than 100 clubs in the United States and Canada, Goodrich said. 25th anniversary for Gibson church GIBSON CITY A series of activities has been planned for the 25th anniversary of the First Baptist Church of Gibson City, which will be celebrated Saturday and Sunday. From 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday there will be an open house at the church, followed by a 5 p.m. carryin supper.

Gospel music will be performed at 7 p.m. by the Twilight Singers from Russell Springs, Ky. The Rev. Homer T. Laster, who was pastor when the church moved into its existing building, will speak at 10:30 a.m.
