The Record of The Trinity Team This Year-Thc Game With The 31. Team Not to Be Played. Biff! Bam! and you are out. Not nr? a time could the visitors cross the little piece of rubber that is located at the terminal ot ue bases. They tried and tried hard to get man around and in the sixth they came very near aomg n.

only one man out Wofford, by mak-iog two clean hits and a bad error by Trinity, put tnree men on oases. bit at this stage oi ine gun would have meant at least two runs for the visitors; but, Bradsher pulled himself and ihe team out of the hole in great shape. He settled down and dished out tome ot ms choice hoots, which proved the undoing of the southerners. iney na a chance once before this to score, it was in the fourth, when with a man on third and only one out, Brad- ber set his "gray matter macbtne- in motion and assisted by sharp fie 02 of the team, wnen tne intra man was called out, he was still, very still, on third. At nn Rtw or tne eame was there any doubts as to the finale.

Trinity had them completely at their mercv and tbe team started in wun tbe the determination of making the game decisive. That they Bucceed fid one has onlv to take a peek at tbe score below. The visitors, too, played a fast and fusddv pa me. The work of DuRant in tbe box had a telling effect. While the borne boys had no trouble in locating the sbpere, they seemed unable to place it in either of tbe gardens, without one of Wof ford men being there to give if "at tention.

Well, the boys male good their promise, they aid that they bad the goods and that they would deliver them, and tbev "did it." bo tbe tie business is now past into history and victory is now perched on Trinity's pennant pole. By winning the game yesterday tbe championship belongs to the boys of tbe Methodist School. That the game scheduled to be played with the Agricultural and Mechani cal team and Trinity has been called off, is regretted, as there is liable to be some contentions a to the chatn- Lionebip between these two teams But when it is reoalled that Trinity has won from teams that tbe A. SI. bo lost to, it seems to be in our favor.

Below is the tabulated score ol yesterday's game and Trinity's re cord for tbe season of 1904. When you start out to buy a Piano, buy a good one. And Ido not buy until you have seen the W. R. Murray Company.

An aver- age of about three and a half bits to game. No college pitcher pitch ing as many games as he has, can come near touchiog bis record. Uradaber has lost only one game during the season and in that one be only allowed five hits. Webb has pitched three games, winning one, losing one and tieinz one. Wootec lost one and be and Webb together lost ibe Clemson game.

Washington, May 10. In ad ministration circles tbe belief has become a settled conviction that Senator Fairbanks of Indiana, wil be named for vice presidency on the ticket witk Koosevelt. No other name is being considered. It is on derstood the Senator has informed the President that he desires tbe honor of running with him. There ia no such unanimity of opinion with regard to the question of who will be tbe national oompaign chair man.

Members of the ad ministra tion are as much in doubt on this point as the rank and file. Senator Penrose and Governor Murphy, of New Jersey, are both prominently mentioned, but nothing in the least authoritive can be said. Struck a Big Vein of Tin Ore. Gastonia, N. May 10.
