His parents and two sons preceded him in death. Mr. Lingle was a retired electrician. He was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ, Dongola. Bernice Miller DEER CREEK Bernice Miller, 71, of rural Neponset, a native of Deer Creek, died at 7:12 a.m.

Sunday (Nov. 11, 1984) at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rux Funeral Home, Kewanee. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, Neponset.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. She was born Dec. 3, 1912, at Deer Creek, a daughter of Chester A. and Edith McGinnis Staubus. She married Warren Miller June 10, 1939, in Bloomingon.

He survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Janet Miller, Eau Claire, Virginia Fegley, Muscatine, Iowa; and Marlene Gunning, Neponset; a sister, Marjorie Staubus, 406 E. Jackson Bloomington; and nine grandchildren. Two sisters and a grandson preceded her in death. Mrs.

Miller graduated from Deer Creek High School and Illinois State Normal University. She taught commercial subjects in Neponset High School prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Neponset United Methodist Church. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Walter W.

Grave LINCOLN Walter W. Graue, 92, of St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln, died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 11, 1984) at the manor.

His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

11, 1984) at Mercy Hospital, Urbana. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Gibson City, the Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mr. Lynch was born June 3, 1915, in Strawn, a son of Edward J. and Elizabeth J. Somers Lynch.

He married Helen V. Wright Nov. 7, 1945, in Gibson City. She died March 30, 1984. Survivors include three sons, William Decatur, and Gerald E.

and 1 Patrick both of Gibson City; three brothers, Thomas, Forrest; John, Decatur; and Gerald Gibson City; two sisters, Ethel Lorig, Colfax, and Thelma Lynch, Gibson City; seven grandchildren; and a great daughter. Mr. Lynch was a retired 41-year employee of Central Soya. For 34 years, he was superintendent of the feed mill and for the last seven years of employment, he was plant manager of their plant in Moberly, Mo. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; he was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 7372.

Memorials may be made to the church or to the American Diabetes Association. Don Elbert Lingle WAPELLA Don Elbert Lingle, 57, died at 1:10 a.m. yesterday (Nov. 12, 1984) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He had been in ill health.

His funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Tracy Ray officiating. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Dongola.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Lingle was born July 2, 1927, in Dongola, a son of Harvey and Nellie Beggs Lingle. He married Evelyn Faymire in 1946.

4, 1984. Surviving are two sons, Darrell Elkhart, and Robert Lincoln; three brothers, Raymond, Mexico, Alvin, Kansas City, and Ted, Eolia, two sisters, Gladys Trower, Warrenton, and Irene Wright, Fulton, seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. He farmed in the Elkhart and Chestervale communities until retiring in 1961. He was an Army veteran of World War serving in France.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a charter and life member of the American Legion Post 616, Elkhart. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1756, Knights of Columbus in Lincoln and the Logan County Farm Bureau. Memorials may be made to St. Clara's Manor.

Carolina T. Farero CORNELL Carolina T. "Carrie" Farero, 78, of 709 N. Fourth St. died at 9:40 p.m.

Sunday (Nov. 11, 1984) at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, after a brief illness. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cornell Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery, Sunbury Township.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator, is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 27, 1906, in Sunbury Township, a daughter of Egbert and Gertrude Darm Knudson. She married John Farero Jan.

22, 1925, in Dwight. He died Oct. 28, 1972. Surviving are three sons, John Fontana, Bernard Granite City; and Eugene, Streator; three daughters, Bernadine Johnson and Carol Hollinger, both of Pontiac; and Elizabeth Lambrich, Fontana, four sisters, Pearl Hamilton and Mildred Morrison, both of Cornell; Birdie Drake, Pontiac; and Alice Wilson, New Lenox; 21 grandchildren; and 24 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandson.

Mrs. Farero resided in the Cornell, Blackstone and Odell area all her life. She was a member of the Cornell Fire Department Auxiliary. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 1984.

6, 1908, in Washington County, Kentucky, a son of John Lee and Bertha Carter Lambert. He married Ila Clark on Dec. 24, 1928, in Harrodsburg, Ky. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, James, Pekin, Gary, Carlock, and Eugene, East Peoria; two daughters, Margaret Dhaese, Delavan, and Donna Miller, Springfield; two brothers, J.T.

Lambert and Edward Lambert, both of Louisville, six sisters, Christine Shrum and Myrtie Clark, both of Delavan, Vera Connerly, Pekin, Anna Mae Burns, Hazel Bottoms and Hallie Vineyard, all of Harrodsburg; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son and a great-granddaughter preceded him in death. Mr. Lambert was retired from Standard Brands, Pekin, after 25 years. He was a member of Delavan Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice. Ervin W. Schmitt STREATOR Ervin W. Schmitt, 87, R.R. 3, died at 1:40 a.m.

yesterday (Nov. 12, 1984) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator. He had been ill six months. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Annunciation Church, Eagle Township.

Burial will be in Lostlands Cemetery, rural Streator. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Solon Funeral Home, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. He was born Jan. 18, in Leonore, a son of Herman and Mathilda Myers Schmitt.

He married Edna Whalen Feb. 17, 1920, in Eagle Township. She died in 1951. Surviving is a son, Norbert Schmitt, rural Streator; a daughter, Mary Wiesbrock, rural Streator; four brothers, Leonce, Earl and Willard, all of Leonore; and Lester, Tonica; a sister, Mildred Bensom, Chicago; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mr. Schmitt farmed most of his life in Eagle Township. He was a member of Annunciation Church. Harvey L. Corkill CABERY Harvey L.

Corkill, 77, Wilmington, a Cabery native, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 10, 1984) at Royal Willow Nursing Home, Wilmington. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Freitag Funeral Home, Wilmington, with the Rev.

David Catlin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Mr. Corkill was born July 4, 1907, in Cabery, a son of James and Lucy Burns Corkill. He married Irene Bouhl. She died in January of 1982.

Survivors include two sons, Lyle, Mountain Grove, and Donath, 1901 Arrowhead Drive, Bloomington; three daughters, Marjorie Fordyce, Watseka, Eleanore McMurray, Joliet, and Kay Bergan, in Washington state; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. Corkill was retired from Uniroyal of Joliet Arsenal. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington.

Donald Hensley STRAWN Donald Hensley, 48, of Strawn, died at 5 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 12, 1984) at his home. Livingston County Coroner Keith Von Qualen will conduct an inquiry. There will be no services.

He will be cremated. Culkin-Diggle Funeral Home, Forrest, is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 3, 1936, in Kentucky, a son of Edward and Helen Lucus Hensley. He married Kym Bauman June 4, 1971, at Indio, Calif. She survives.

Mr. Hensley was employed as a chef. BLOOMINGTON NORMAL William R. West William R. West, 48, of 1402 W.

Elm Bloomington, died yesterday afternoon (Nov. 12, 1984) at University Hospital, Madison, Wis. He will be taken to Beck Memori! al Home. William Radley The funeral for 71, Rockport, 501 E. Poplar Saturday (Nov.

10, William Radley, Texas, formerly of Normal, who died 1984), will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Glenn V. Manis officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Mr. Radley the funeral home, with Normal Masonic Lodge conducting rites at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Radley was born June 6, 1913, in Bloomington, a son of George H.

and Alice Allford Radley. He married Bernice Smith Sept. 1, 1934. She died in September 1974. He married Wilma Mock Nov.

12, 1976, in Bloomington. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Joyce Riddle, 603 W. MacArthur Bloomington; a son, Jim, Round Lake Beach; two stepsons, Ronald Mock, St. Louis, and Kenneth Mock, Minnetonka, three sisters, Mary McCubbin, 409 E.

Market Bloomington; Hilda McGrath, 109 W. Market Bloomington; and Mabel Poulton, 1100 N. Walnut Normal; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Mr.

Radley retired in 1977 from Funk Seeds International, where he had been a printer. He was a member and past master of Normal Lodge 673, A.F. A.M.; Bloomington Consistory; Mohammed Temple Shrine, Peoria; Bloomington Shrine Club; a 38-year member of Bloomington Moose Lodge 745; and a member of Bloomington-Normal Ostomy Association. Hacker Grace E. Hacker, 89, Americana Healthcare Center, Normal, died Saturday night (Nov. 10, 1984) at the center, where she had been a resident four years. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Lux Memorial Chapel, Rantoul, with the Rev.

Paul Simpkins officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service. She was born April 13, 1895, near Rantoul, a daughter of Henry H. and Minnie Allen Evans.

Survivors include a brother, Earl, Williford, and four sisters, Mae Lockhart, Saginaw, Fern Evans and Helen Franchina, both of Rantoul, and Wanda Bonner, Los Angeles. Mrs. Hacker was a 1917 graduate of Brokaw School of Nursing, Normal. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Normal. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ruth Barton Roberts Ruth Barton Roberts, 79, Chicago, formerly of 104 E. Wood Bloomington, and a Normal native, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 10, 1984) at St. Bernard's Hospital, Chi- cago.

Her. funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Frank McSwain officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Roberts was born Feb. 18, 1905, in Normal, a daughter of Carey and Cynthia Thomas Barton. She married Robert Roberts.

He died in 1974. Survivors include a brother, Wilber W. Barton, Indianapolis; and four sisters, Glendora Phelps, Seattle, Lorraine Marshall and Louise Buffins, both of Chicago, and Dorothy Stockstell, 304 E. Cherry Normal. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was a member of Wayman A A.M.E. Church. Clarence L. Gloyd Clarence L. Gloyd, 71, of 1206 Eastholme Bloomington, died at 6:38 p.m.

Sunday (Nov. 11, 1984) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Bloomington. There is no funeral service scheduled. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. There will be no visitation.

Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Gloyd was born March 16, 1913, in Macomb, a son of Frank and Ethel Pierpont Gloyd. He married Ruth A. Nestler on Sept.

5, 1936, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving is a sister, Helen Barker, Redlands, Calif. Mr. Gloyd was a host at Bob Johnson's Restaurant, Bloomington, for years, retiring in 1974.

He was a member of Louis Davis Post American Legion, Bloomington. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Pauline V. Ogden Pauline Viola Ogden, 77, of -Osceola, formerly of 808 E.

Chestnut Bloomington, head of the linen department at Mennonite Hospital for 34 years until retirement, died at 1:15 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 12, 1984) at Osceola, where she had been living. She will be taken to Beck Memorial Home. Education IWU 'Nursing Career Day' Representatives from 34 Illinois hospitals, medical centers and military organizations will discuss career opportunities at "Nursing Career Day" from 9 a.m.
