dia dop voy (shrimps scallops and chicken livers with Chinese vegetable) breaded shrimps and sweet and sour chicken balls All came piping hot perfectly cooked and attractively served The Mandarin Duck also has a huge selection of Hawaiian and Polynesian drinks and diners should really try one to get in the mood Although we ordered from the menu there are also dinners for one to six persons We thought the prices were excellent The Mandarin Duck is definitely a place to visit but call first for a reservation Dining Out is now a regular monthly column in Focus One of the judgqs was a former Brantford woman Glo McNeill now president of McNeill Associates of Toronto We found the food at the Mandarin Hawaiian Lounge to be the best we have sampled for a long time Mr Becker said that he had "stolen" six of his chefs from some of the best restaurants in the world The number one chef comes from Hong Kong the number two chef from Vancouver and the others from excellent restaurants in Canada Because the chefs come frqm so many different cities the food is truly international as they all have their own specialties We let our waitress give us some advice when we ordered and ended up with a superb selection By CAROL ANN WILSOIS Expositor Staff Writer An admiration of the Fofyne slan Room in the old Ports of Call in Toronto led Gary Becker of Brantfoqp to transform the appearance and visited service was fast friendly and efficient Since the Mandarin Duck won a five star rating from the Hotel Association last month the girls are always busy In this contest competition was brisk There were about 800 entries in the class and these were finally whittled down to eight The Mandarin Duck's menu eras Judged the best in Canada The criteria for the prise was the menu's appearance and
