Mr and Mrs William Schutjet and two children spent Sunday at Titonka as guests of Mr and Mrs Roy Walrod. Mr Schutjer is Mrs Walrod's son. —i >— Mr and Mrs Clem Erlandet >nd daughter Janie spent the Christmas holiday weekend in Minneapolis with Mr Erlander's mother, sister and brother. -'.(,.Jim Bishop, Si. Mr and Mrs Dean Flanders and little son are spending the Christmas vacation with their respective parents at Cherokee, .ind Waterloo. Mr Flanders is a *ixth grade teacher at Bryant." Mr and Mrs Harold Erpelding, Becky and Janey were supper and evening guests at the home of Mr and Mrs Dick McGinnis and Suzanne, Thursday, Dec. 22. There was also a gift exchange. —o— Charles Lawson and Lee, Eilleen and Colleen and Wava Woodward spent Christmas day at Mason City with Miss Wood- wai'd's parents and the children's grandparents, Mr and Mrs J. H. Woodward. —0— Sheila Ann Hanson spent from Friday to Wednesday here with her parents, Mr and Mrs Andrew Hanson. Sheila Ann is a registered nurse doing psychiatric work at Iowa Methodist hospital 'n Des Moines. Mr and Mrs W. F. Colwell had Mr and Mrs Dean Bilyeau and Family as guests for Christmas breakfast Sunday morning. Later n the day the Colwells went to Clarion for dinner with Mrs Colwell's mother, Mrs O. G. Day. Mr and Mrs A. J. Ricklefs and four children were at Titonka Sunday for a family Christmas dinner at Mr Ricklefs parents, Mr and Mrs William Ricklefs. On Monday, Mrs Ricklefs. parents, Mr and Mrs M. A. Bagge of Foi>da visited them here. —o— Mrs A. E. Briggs expects to leave Jan, 2 for Los Angeles, Cal. where she will visit her brother- in-law and sister, Mr and Mrs Herman Giese. She will be accompanied on the trip by Marge Mittag who will visit an aunt at Fresno. They plan to be gone about two weeks. —o— Mr and Mrs Andrew Hanson had as their guests Christmas night, Mr and Mrs Erman H Hanson and daughter and Mr and Mrs Carl J. Hanson and family. On Monday they were visited by Mr and Mrs Stanley Van Teicher of Buffalo Center. E. M. Huber fell on the ice in his yard Dec. 14 and broke a bone in the ankle and one below the knee. He was taken to the Mercy hospital at Ft. Dodge for 10 days and arrived home Dec 24. He has n pin in the anklebone and will be in a cast for ten weeks. —o— Mr and Mrs Howard Stillman anri two sons and Mrs Mabel Lee- spent Christmas day at Fort Dodge with Dr. and Mrs Robert Lee and their family. Dr. Lee. who is Mrs Stillman's brothei and Mrs Lee's son, is an aneste- ologist at Fort Dodge having moved there only a few weeks ago. They are former Algonans --n—. Mrs Cecil Steward and four children arrived here Thursday from their home in Hazelcrest, Illinois for a visit with her parents, Mr and Mrs Milo Rentz. Mr Steward joined them on Saturday and they are dividing their time with the Rentz' and the parental Walter Stewards at Burt. They plan to return home Saturday. —0— Mrs Norman Hanevik left Tuesday for Elmore, Minn, where she is visiting her husband's parents, Mr and Mrs Hans Hanevik.
