Art-! hut Brodalo. «4. of Ottosen. who ! was killed in a car collision j Thursday afternoon were held Monday. Dec. IP. at 1:30 p.m. at her home and at 2 p.m.. in St." Olaf Lutheran church at Bode. Mrs Brodale died when she was thrown out of her car after n collision with another auto, driven by her brother. Gilbert Holden, also of Ottosen. The tragedy occurred at R country road intersection by the Brodale farm about three mile? south and one ir.ile east of Ottosen. Mrs Brodale and her son. Arnold. 26, were enioute home after a shopping trip to Algona Mr Holden. who was alone at the time of the accident, was enroute to the poils to vote in the Twin Rivers school district reorganization election. The Brodalos were driving j south and Mr Holden east, at the time of the collision. Neither j Gilbert Holden nor Arnold Bro- j dale were injured ! Investigating the a c c i d c n ' i were Humboldt County Sheriff j E. H. Bradley, highway patrolmen. Dr. Jan-.es Oddingion. Humboldt county coroner, nnd Dr. I. H. Shohet of Bode. The Rev. M. O. Kraabel of Bode and the Rev. Harold Mountain of Ottosen officiated at the funeral rites. Serving as psilbearers were Ted. Carl, and Oliver Brodale. , Oliver Christensen. Guests were Mr and Mrs Franz Teeter. Donna and John, Mr and Mrs Edmund Larsen and Beverly and Mr and Mrs Harvey Larsen i and Linda. John Teeter drove up from Ames to spend Christmas holidays with homo folks. Between 30 and 40 friends and neighbors surprised Mr and Mrs Ray Fitch. Sunday. Dec. 18 when they all came in with well filled baskets, to help them celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. It was also Mr and Mrs Franz Teeter's 30th wedding anniversary the day before. Dec. 17. Mr and Mrs Fitch were presented with a beautiful combination lamp. Mr and Mrs Teeter were presented with a Sterling sugar and. cream set with tray.
