The Dow Jones industrial average was off 0.39 at 869.73 around noon. Declines led advances, 586 to 563, among 1,553 issues across the tape. Two-hour turnover amounted to more than 4,700,000 shares, compared with 4,560,000 traded during the same period Friday. Emery Industries was the mosit active issue, off Vz at 8 on 97,800 shares. Leaseo Corp. was second, off % at 9Vs on 82,200 shares, and Federal National Mortgage third, up Vz at \VA on 64,000 shares Gold mining issues were lower. The price of the metal generally eased abroad. Dome Mines lost 1 and Campbell Red Lake %. Glamors were mixed. Xerox lost 2%, Avon Products Vk and Upjohn 1. Oils also were mixed. Getty lost 154. Will Pay Bill For Baby Girl RICHARDSON, Tex. (UPI) Barbara Bower got a $350 maternity bill from a doctor last week and she did not even know she had been pregnant. According to the doctor's secretary, an 18 - year - old woman registered there several weeks ago giving Mrs. Bower's name and address. She told the doctor her husband worked at Texas Instruments in the Dallas suburb. The woman eventually gave birth to a child and left the hospital with her baby. Mrs. Bower, 29, said she would be happy to pay the bill if the doctor would "send us a baby girl."
