The storm is a repetition of the snow of December 30 last year, but the fall is not so heavy. The low hills In the county show white with the snow. Santa Paula the ground was covered and the orchards and fields were white.

Next to Postoffice Wharf and Warehouse buildings started a fire In th' building. The current was shut off and the fire extinguished before material damage was dons. A second fire on another building occurred shortly after. It was also extinguished before It gained any headway. The current was then shut off the power line.

High Water. A flood t)f water from the heavy rain in Las Posas covered the new- paring of the sfate highway near the Espinosa ranch. It was too deep for a time for autos to attempt with safety to ford It. Reports that the roadbed was washed out arose from the river of water over the paving. The paving Is in good condition today.

Barnhart, pastor ot the Methodist church, spoke Sunday night on the "Blazed Trail and the Broad Way." "Now Jehovah saiTunto Abraham, get thee out of this country, and from thy kindred and from thy father's house, unto the land -which will show thee and I will make thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and maice thy name great, and be thon a blessing." Rain and Wind Damage. A downpour of rain accompanied by a heavy wind began Saturday evening and continued until Sunday night The precipitation in Oxnard was 3.28 inches In the 24 hours bringing the total fall for the season to 7.61 Inches. The fall In Las Posas and the hills was Tieavier than in Oxnard. In Las Posas one gauge recorder 5.37 inches. Much damage to electric light and condition and is passable.

The water has gone down so the erosion on the approach is stopped. Railroad Washed Out Traffic on the Southern Pacific was interrupted Sunday by a. washout at Moorpark at the same place where the tracks went out in winters before. A conductor of a freight tram, the last to cross before the track went out, said that a wall of water about eight feet high came down the canyon and hit the track just after the train had crossed. He said that the train would have been wrecked If it had been in the way of the water.

Trains began to run again yesterday morning. White traffic was Interrupted passengers were taken via Montalvo and Saugufi. Gas Line Broken. The gas main of the Ventura County Power company over the Santa Clara river broke in the flood Sunday. The break was repaired In three bours.

The container in Oxnard was half full of gas.
