Francis X. Cronin officiated at a noon double ring rite June 22 at St. CamiUus Church uniting Miss Bonnie L. Laurel and Joseph A. Schweikert.

The former Miss Laurel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. Laurel of 3011 Pinehurst Drive, was given in marriage by her father. Her simple white linen A-line gown with scooped neckline was; accented by the veil headpiece, a white pearled tiered crown.

Her cascade was of white roses, baby mums and ivy. Mrs. Thomas Donley, matron of honor, was the only attendant for the bride. Mr. and Mrs.

Carl Schweikert Sr. of Halltown Rd. Wampum, RD 2, are the groom's parents. Carl Schweikert Jr. was best man, while Lawrence Schweikert and Phillip Blashak were ushers.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception for 100 guests was held at the Laurel home. Mr. and Mrs. Schweikert are at home to friends in Washington, after a motor trip to Erie. The bride is a graduate of New Castle High School and the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

She is a registered nurse. Mr. Schweikert, an alumnus of Shenango High School, is with the Pennsylvania State Police Force after having graduated from the State Police Academy at Hershey. He also served as a personnel specialist in Germany while serving with the U.S. Army.

The groom studied at Youngstown State University two years. Mr. and Mrs Ernest Daniel Johns are home to friends at Edinburg RD 1 after their honeymoon at the Stricklands Mountain Inn, Mt. Pocono. The former Miss Carol Cecelia Mills, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Charles E. Mills of RD 4, was given in marriage by her father June 29 at the Harlansburg UP Church. The Rev. Dale Bowne officiated at the double ring rites at 7:30 p.m.

The bride wore a gown of lace, styled in an Empire silhouette cage with a jewel neckline and a Watteau chapel train. Her headpiece was a honeysuckle spray caught by an elbow length illusion veil. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of pink roses and stephanotls. The bride wore a pair of rosette earrings, a gift of her groom. Something old worn Mr.

Crunchy salad biscuits are a welcome addition to any meal, especially when they feature the fresh corn goodness of enriched white hominy grits. The ingredients needed to produce two dozen biscuits are: IVi cups sifted all-purpose flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt Vi cup Enriched White Hominy Grits (quick or regular) cup shortening cup chopped green onion 1 cup grated sharp cheese V2 cup milk Sift together flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.

Stir in grits. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in onion and cheese. Gradually add milk, stirring lightly until just dampened. '(If necessary add another tablespoon milk to make dough hold together.) Form into ball.

Turn out on lightly floured board or canvas. Knead gently a few times. Sprinkle board or canvas with 1 tablespoon grits. Roll dough to form a 9x8-inch rectangle. With sharp knife, cut into 8 strips, 1 inch wide.

Cut each strip into three 3-inch pieces. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated hot oven (425 degrees 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve hot. I 3 Generations lists bridal party Miss Patricia Elaine Russo was honored at a shower given by her aunts, Mrs.

Ira Ramsey, devotional leader at a Frances Willard Women's Christian Temperance Union, meeting, used the theme "Wayside Ministry." Mrs. Joseph MacKenzie gave a resume of the study book "Venereal Disease A Renewed Challenge." The last meeting of the season' will be a tureen picnic dinner at the home of Miss Jean Hilliard and Miss Nancy Hilliard of 3427 Clover Lane at 6 p.m. July 18. Election of officers will follow the dinner. Here is a tasty recipe for a delightful cake pudding made with rich and flavorful pitted dates.

You'll need the following ingredients to make enough for 10 people: 2Vi cups well drained, crushed pineapple 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup pitted dates, halved crosswise Vj cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Vfe teaspoon salt 3 egg yolks 1 teaspoon vanilla extract cup granulated sugar 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Combine pineapple, dates and nuts. Next, combine flour, baking powder and salt, and stir into the pineapple mixture. Beat egg yolks, vanilla and sugar into pineapple mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

Pour into baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 35 minutes. Two pre-nuptial showers honored the bride. One was given by Miss Colleen Hobel and Mrs. McMillen at the home of Miss Hobel of Rr. 721 City Line St. The other was co-hosted by Mrs.

Brown with Miss Steingasser and Mrs. Tanner. It was held at the home of Mrs. Brown of 6 W. Euclid Ave.

The girls first enjoyed a picnic which was followed by a Christian fellowship in which Nancy Gibson, program leader, presented a devotional thought on the power of faith. Later Miss Gibson introduced the speaker, Mrs. Stephen Burger, who told of her busy and dedicated life in helping with orphans in Minnesota, helping at the detention home, and of her work with the City Rescue Mission, both located at New Castle.

Mrs. Burger and husband work together as a team. The meeting was closed by prayer from the sponsor, Mrs. Helen Fullerton. The remainder of the time was spent swimming.

The next meeting will be held at the New Wilmington Missionary Conference Aug. 7.
