Algona (la.) Upper &ei Mdfn«t-3ra Thuriday, December IS, 1955 Around Algona October circle of the WSCS of the Methodist church are having n pot luck luneheon today at the home of Mrs Owen Hurt. Mrs Harry Hargrcaves returned Tuesday from a visit of several days with her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs E B Mathiasen at Council Bluffs. The seventh graders of the public school are having a Christmas party this afternoon, (Thursday) in the .gymnasium. Teachers are chaperoning and there will be games, dancing and refreshments, —o— The iwo kindergarten groups at Bryant are presenting a Christmas program for their parents Friday. The morning croup's will begin at 10:30. the afternoon's at 2:30. Mrs Ruth McVay is the teacher. —o—Bel Canlo music club mel Wednesday at the Johnson House. A group of music students from the high school presented the program followed by a luncheon. Mrs Rick Fabrizio and Mrs Gerald Hallauer headed the committees in charge of arrangements. —0— Kenneth Hargreaves spent from Monday through Thursday of last week with his parents. MY and Mrs Harry Hargrcaves and his brother-in-law and sister. Miami Mrs Dick Cook Kenneth was on vacation from his job at International Harvt-.ster in Omaha. —°— Alpha Psi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held a regulnr meeting reeivitly at the home of Mrs Jerry MeKean. Anit.i Thiesen presided at the business meeting and took part in the program. Mildied Cummins-; and Jan Anderson also gave reports. Future events for the chapter include a bake sale on Friday.
