THE PANTAGRAPH, WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 1984 D3 WEATHER Wednesday, May 9, 1984 CENTRAL ILLINOIS Eloise Trago MOUNT PULASKI (PNS) Eloise Trago, 56, of R.R. 3, Lincoln, a Logan County native, died at 1:40 p.m. Monday (May 7, 1984) at St. John's Hospital, Springfield. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.

today at Veail Chapel, south of Mount Pulaski, with Terry Bowland officiating. Burial will be in Steenbergen Cemetery, rural Mount Pulaski. There will be no visitation. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, had charge of arrangements. Mrs.

Trago was born March 25, 1928, a daughter of Lawrence and Edith Davis Conaway. She married Kenneth Trago Dec. 16, 1947, in Illiopolis. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mount Pulaski; two sons, Allen, Clinton, and John, R.R.

3, Lincoln; four daughters, Wanda Mason, Elaine Humbert and Beverly Deavers, all of Lincoln; and Patricia Yaple, Mount Pulaski; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Trago was a member of the Mount Pulaski Christian Church and of the board of directors of the Health Improvement Association. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Mount Pulaski Christian Church. Alice J.

Leslie LINCOLN Alice J. Leslie, 53, of 122 S. Chicago co- owner of a Lincoln tavern, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday (May 7, 1984) at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She had been ill.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kerrigan Funeral Home, Lincoln, the Rev. James Bortell officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will from 6:30 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

She was born July 7, 1930, in Springfield, a daughter of James and Ona Bullock Finn. She married Roy Leslie Jr. Jan. 17, 1948, in Springfield. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Roy Dean Leslie, Casper, four brothers, Herschel Finn, New Berlin; Raymond Finn, Lincoln; David Finn, Greeley, and Richard Finn, Las Vegas, and four sisters, Wilma Brand, Washington state; Beulah Branham, Rogers, Betty Singleton, Cowden; and Eleanor Hurley, San Manuel, Ariz. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church, Springfield, and the auxiliaries of the Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose. She and her husband owned and operated Les' Tap, Lincoln, for the past nine years. Helen F. Lang ARMINGTON The funeral for Helen F.

Lang, 72, of 307 S. Jefferson who died Monday (May 7, 1984), will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Armington Christian Church, the Rev. Harold Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Oak View Cemetery.

Visitation will be for an hour before the service at the church. McReynolds Funeral Home, Minier, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lang was born Sept. 10, 1911, at McLean, a daughter of Leslie E.

and Lena Phillips Smith. She married Dr. Herbert Lang Sept. 1, 1944, in Texas. He died March 9, 1973.

Surviving are her mother, Bartmann Nursing Home, Atlanta; a son, James, Armington; three daughters, Jacqueline R. Frerichs, Woodlawn; Joyce M. Boatman, Atlanta; and Jann L. Crutcher, Armington; a brother, R. Paul, Bloomington; a sister, Dorothy Scheets, Normal; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother. Mrs. Lang was a member of the Armington Christian Church and was president of the Armington Women's Club. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army and was a member of the Armington Taylor Eckhardt American Legion Auxiliary. She was a lifelong resident of the McLean-Armington area.

Memorials may be made to the Armington Rescue Squad or to Armington Christian Church. John M. Park FLANAGAN (PNS) John M. Park, 87, Peoria, formerly of Livingston County, died May 2, 1984, at the Lutheran Home, Peoria, where he had lived since 1977. His funeral was Saturday at Bethel Luthera.

Church in Bartonville. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery. Wilton Mortuary, Peoria, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Park was born Nov.

24, 1896, in Livingston County, a son of Carl and Gretina Vissering. He married A. Marie Rosenbohm June 27, 1935, in Bartonville. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mary Krull, Peoria, and Lois Wensel, Homewood; and four grandchildren.

Two brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Park was an agency manager at Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Peoria Life Underwriters and the American Legion Post of Flanagan.

He was an Army veteran of World War I. Clarence Stephens MASON CITY (PNS) Clarence "Alabama" Stephens, 62, of 503 S. Morgan died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday (May 6, 1984) at his home following a short illness. His funeral will be at 2' p.m.

today at Maas Funeral Home, Mason City, the Rev. Ralph Demming officiating. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery. Mr. Stephens was born May 25, 1921, in Gadsden, a son of Joeseus and Ada McDowell Stephens.

He married Margaret Lackey Nov. 15, 1944, in Gadsden. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Clarence Mason City; a daughter, Patti McCaw, Phoenix; a brother, Joe, Gadsden, a sister, Era Sims, Gadsden, and eight grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Stephens was a welder for Caterpillar Tractor Peoria, for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mason City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

James R. Summers LINCOLN James Ronald Summers, 42, of Lincoln died at 6:50 a.m. yesterday (May 8, 1984) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. He had been ill. He was taken to Holland Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Henry Williams SAYBROOK Henry Williams, 74, of Saybrook died at 10 a.m. yesterday (May 8, 1984) at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. He was taken to Stensel-CalvertBelangee Funeral Home, Saybrook. Russell Myers LeROY Russell Myers, 69, of R.R. 1 died at 7:15 p.m.

yesterday (May 8, 1984) at his residence. He was taken to Stensel-CalvertBelangee Funeral Home, LeRoy. BLOOMINGTON NORMAL Don E. Welcome Don E. Welcome, 42, of Danville, formerly of Bloomington and former owner of Don Welcome Sales Service, died April 30, 1984, at his home.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington, the Rev. Richard Brunskill officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington.

Main Memorial Home, Bloomington, has charge of arrangements. Mr. Welcome was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Woodstock, a son of Lester O. and Annaruth Reilly Welcome.

Roberds, 70, of R.R. 2, Bloomington, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday (May 7, 1984) at McLean County Nursing Home. She had been in ill health four years. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m.

today in Evergreen Cemetery, the Rev. Gerald Ward officiating. There will be no visitation. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. She was born June 13, 1913, in Bloomington, a daughter of Charles P.

and Frances E. Stratton Roberds. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Miss Roberds was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Bloomington.

Gerald E. Katz The funeral of Gerald E. Katz, 68, of 825 W. Jackson Bloomington, who died Monday (May 7, 1984), will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carmody Funeral Home, Bloomington, and at 10:30 a.m.

at St. Mary's Church, Bloomington. The Rev. Ric Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in St.

Joseph's Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Katz was born April 8, 1916, in Bloomington, a son of John C. and Anna Albrecht Katz.

Survivors include a brother, John 1214 S. Mason Bloomington, and a sister, Eleanora Eberwein, R.R. 4, Bloomington. Mr. Katz was a retired salesman for the former Gerhardt Shoe Store in Bloomington.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Loyal Order of Moose of Bloomington. He was a veteran of World War II. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Fund.

Pauline R. Trautmann The graveside service for Pauline R. Trautmann, 67, of St. Louis, formerly of Bloomington, who died Friday (May 4, 1984), will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Park Hill Cemetery.

The Rev. Forrest Slone will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Beck Memorial Home. She was born Sept.

5, 1916, in Jay County, a daughter of Fred and Gladys Reynolds Smith. She married John L. Trautmann Dec. 9, 1933, in Pontiac. He survives.

Other survivors are her mother, Gladys Smith, 539 W. Grove Bloomington; a son, John Renton, a daughter, Sharon Simino, Florissant, two sisters, Ruth Swayne, R.R. 2, Bloomington, and Mildred Short, 539 W. Grove Bloomington; and two granddaughters. A sister preceded her in death.

Mulberry School lists openings Mulberry School is accepting applications for the 1984-85 school year for 4-year-olds through second grade. The board decided to have the building hooked up for gas service and install two overhead gas heaters in the gym.

A majority of the windows will be covered by boards and insulation to conserve heat. The board also agreed to purchase 30 folding tables for the center. In other business, the board announced that the village has received 41 trees for its tree beautification program. The trees will be planted throughout Elliott. Prachar, a business sophomore, has been awarded the Garrett Van Ausdall Memorial Scholarship, named for a graduate residence hall counselor killed in an automobile accident in 1963.
