The bridegroom is the soft of Mr and Mrs Dewey C6ch-, ran of Winnebago. N father. Ambrose Layne performed the'double ring ceremony at • St. John-Vianney Catholic church in Fairmont. Attending the bride was Kathleen Schrelber of Rochester,' Minn. The best man was 1 Donald Nienhaus of Wirinebago, 'and ushers vvere Herburt Patterson, Jr. of Buffalo Center and Maurice Olson of Blue Earth. A reception was held at 11 o'clock, at Ledebur's lor about 100 guests. Reception assistants were Ruth MOrtensen, Carolyn Swanson, Jean Haugen, Joanne Reynran, Joyce Schleinger. and Deloros Wokasch. • '. Following a wedding trip to Minneapolis and points east, the couple will live in Fairmont. The bride is employed by the Fairmont Telephone Co. and will continue in her job. The bridegroom has been employed farming in Winnebago 'area, since return from service. • Moving To Fairmont Axel Erickson held a farm sale at his 'farm in Swea township Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 7. He has leased his farm to Mrs Christena Swanson and her son, Harold Swanson: Axel, ,a bachelor, plans to live in Fairmont. He has lived on' this farm all his life. Joe Erickson, a brother of Axel, who left last February for Los Angeles, Calif, and'later to the state of Washington returned here some time ago to help with- farm work and sale arranjge- ments. Joe plans to return to the west coast. Mr and Mrs" Kenneth Isaacson are parents of a 'son born Tuesday, Nov. 29, at an Estherville hospital. The baby weighed 9. pounds 7 ounces at birth. The couple has two other sons and a daughter. An officers and leader^ training 4-H school was held at Algona Saturday afternoon, attending Were leaders Everett Johnson, Cecil Thoreson, Lloyd Thpre- son, Mrs Ralph Walker, Jr. 'and Mrs Maynard Jensen. 4-H officers were Lavon Jensen, Mary Kay Dolan, Kay Fitzgerald, Betty and Maxine Clark, Rita Walker, Dee Ann Swanson, Karon Johanson, Duane Jensen, Ronnie Linde and Robert "Kaltvad. The Swea Sunbeam 4-H Club girls met Nov. 29.. at the, home of Mrs Ralph Walker Jf> Lavon Jensen reported on her tfif> to the International Livestock show in Chicago. • ~ . '•<. Ralph Walker Sr. has spent some time here Visiting His daughter, Mrs Jim Montgomery, and Mrs Martin Dahl and son, Ralph Jr. The Ralph Walkers took his father to Rockwell Thursday where he will stay with a daughter and her family, the Ernest Wittes. Cheryle Torine and 'a friend, Marlene Burrows of Tfaef, both girls are freshmen students at iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, spent an in-between quarters vacation from Friday until Monday at Cheryle's Barents, Mr and Mrs'Francis Torine. • The Francis Torines and Miss. WESLEY NEWS Mrs David Johnson of Cbrwith visited Mrs Bettie Wester Saturday afternoon. 'The High School music department under the direction of Wayne Pringle began practice last week on an operetta, "Mississippi Melody" which will be presented in late February. The public school will close December 23 for the Christmas and New Year vacation and open January 3.. Carol Goetz, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joe Goetz. spent December 2-6 at the home. She attends Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls and this was an in between quarters vacation. Mrs Pauline Pfeffer entertained her contract bridge club Monday evening, Nov. 28. Mrs Phyllis Walker was a auest. Lorraine Bleich recently pledged Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional honorary music sorority,- at Drake University in Des Moines. She is a music major. Lorraine is youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Leo Bleich.
