Cotton futures mostly higher. Chicago grain futures lower. Cattle nominally steady; no prices. Stock Prices Down On Exchange NEW YORK (UPI) - Prices fell today in soma of the lightest trading In months on the New York Stock Exchange. Shortly before noon, the Dew Janes Industrial average was off 3.01 at 871.18. Declines led advances, 638 to 370, among mora than 1,419 Issues across the tape. Two-hour turnover amounted to more than 4,010,000 shares, compared with 4,890,000 during the same period Tuesday. The market was closed Wednesday for the Fourth of July holiday. Englehard Minerals & Chemicals was the most active issue, unchanged at 15% on 119,800 shares. Memorex was second, off 1% and 5 1 /. on 64,800 shares. Benguet Consolidated was third, unchanged at 4% on 80,400 shares. Prices declined slightly lower in slow trading on the American Stock Exchange. There were few wide moves on the Big Board. Some of the electronics, computers and glamors were lower. Burroughs lost 2i /a and Control Data 1. ARA Services fell Vk. Oils were lower. Superior Oil lost l 3 /4. Steels, motors, chemicals, rails, airlines and aircrafts were mixed in fractions.
