and Mrs. Elmer Otto of Flanagan are observing their 50th wedding anniversary Monday at their winter home at the Arizona Motel, 1749 S. 6th Tucson, Ariz. Otto and Grace Uphoff were married Feb. 9, 1937, at St.

John's Lutheran Church, Flanagan. Florence Otto and Clarence Uphoff were their attendants. The Ottos farmed in the Gridley and Pontiac areas and also operated a television business before their retirement. 25th anniversary for Richard Thrashers DeWTTT Richard and Dorothy Thrasher of rural DeWitt are observing their silver wedding anniversary today. A family dinner, hosted by their daughter, will celebrate the event.

Thrasher and Dorothy Nowlin were married Feb. 3, 1962, at First Christian Church, Paxton. Larry and Theresa Miller were their attendants. They are parents of Janice Em-merson of Farmer City. There is one grandchild.

Thrasher is employed by Wallace Computer Clinton. Burdick-Galbiati ARROWSMITH Marsha Joy Burdick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Burdick of Arrowsmith, became the bride of Luca B.

Galbiati of Milan, Italy, in a ceremony at 11 a.m. Jan. 1 at Wesbein United Methodist Church, Saybrook. The bridegroom's parents are Dr. and Mrs.

Marco Galbiati of Milan. There was a reception at Indian Springs Country Club, Saybrook, before the newlyweds left for a honeymoon in Tennessee. Teresa Ream and Karla Marcellus attended the bride and Oberdan Sala, Paul Burdick and Marty Voelker were the bridegroom's attendants. The new Mrs. Galbiati is a graduate of Saybrook-Arrowsmith High School.

Her husband is employed as an architect in Mijan, Italy, where the newlyweds reside. Williams-Rengel Michael Rengel, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Gary Rengel of Mapleton, and Jennifer L.

Williams, both of Peoria Heights, were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 27 at Lake Camelot Club House, Mapleton. Her parents are the Rev. and Mrs.

Arnan Williams of Momence. The bridegroom's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Rengel of R.R.

4, Bloomington. There was a reception at the club house. Theresa Williams and Kristin Rhoads attended the bride and Kent Rengel and Rob McBride attended the bridegroom. The new Mrs. Rengel is a graduate of Princeton High School and is employed as a nurses' aide by Riv-erview Retirement Center, where her husband, a graduate of Limestone High School, is employed as a cook.

Roll-man of Springfield are their parents. There was a church reception. Atending the bride were Jennifer Clawson, maid of honor; JoEllen Leeke, bridesmaid; and Stephanie Clawson, flower girl. Rollman has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, and a master's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. Her husband, a certified public accountant, received his master's degree from Washington University, St.

Adelaide Normal, became the bride of Dirk Steffen of Goodfield in a ceremony at noon Jan. 4 at Congerville Apostolic Christian Church. There was a church reception. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Gerald Knapp of rural Palmyra, was attended by Patricia, Beth and Lori Knapp. The bridegroom, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Steffen of Goodfield, was attended by Rod, Kim and Torry Steffen. The newlyweds are graduates of Eureka High School.

The new Mrs. Steffen is employed by State Farm Insurance Cos. and her husband is a senior, majoring in business, at Illinois State University. They reside at the bride's address. NEW NAMES Sarah Ashley Tuchel was born Jan.

24 to Randy and Margaret A. Tuchel of 713 W. Walnut Bloomington. The 8-pound baby is the second test-tube baby born in Bloomington. She is a granddaughter of June A.

Loftus of Bristol and Ted Tuchel of Washington. Edna Young of Park Falls, is great-grandmother. Michael Joseph Erdman is the name chosen for the first child of James and Susan Erdman of rural Chenoa. The 8-pound baby, born Jan. 24, is a grandson of Mr.

and Mrs. John R. McNamee of Peoria and Mr. and Mrs. Verne Erdman of rural Hudson.

Etta Erdman of Chenoa is great-grandmother. Carl Alexander Arnold, named for his father, was born Jan. 21 to Carl and Marsha Arnold of 903 W. Olive Bloomington. The 8-pound, 3-ounce baby is a brother of Philip, 13; Todd, 11; Kristin, and Jennifer, 2.

He is a grandson of Bonniejean A. Pree of 512 W. Kelsey St. and Ethel M. Arnold of 503 S.

There was a reception at Tiara Ballroom before the newlyweds left for a honeymoon in St. Louis. Brown-Peterson Stephanie Brown, daughter of Margaret Rose Brown of 1100 Crescent Lane, Normal, became the bride of Terrence Peterson, son of Eden Peterson of Alton, in a Jan. 24 ceremony at Lemp Mansion, St.

Louis, Mo. The bride also is a daughter of the late Jack J. Brown. The bridegroom also is a son of the late John Peterson. A reception and dinner followed.

Lona Schuster and Caroline Caywood were the bride's attendants. The new Mrs. Peterson is a graduate of Normal Community High School, the University of Illinois and the Sorbonne. She has a master's degree from Washington University, St. Louis, and is production manager of Angelica Uniform Group, St.

Louis. Trainor-Reis PONTIAC St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, was the setting for the 7 p.m. Jan. 16 wedding of Lynn Ann Trainor of Forrest and Michael William Reis of Fairbury.

There was a reception at the Pontiac Elks Country Club. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Trainor of Forrest, was attended by Jeannine Reis, matron of honor; Pat Rieger and Ann Zimmerman, bridesmaids; and Ashley Zimmerman, Bridget Meints and Erica Rieger, flower girls. The bridegroom, son of Mr.

and Mrs. John Reis of Fairbury, was attended by Pat Reis, best man; John and Tim Reis, groomsmen; Paul Trainor, ring bearer; and Mike and Bob Trainor and Kevin Meints, ushers. A graduate of Marycrest College, Davenport, Iowa, the new Mrs. Reis is employed by Dwight School for the Handicapped. Her husband is attending Illinois State University and is employed by Zimmerman Construction Fairbury.
