Sedalia Democrat, Sunday, July 2,1972 Rumors Are Wrong Junior High Will Be Ready on Time By RON JENNINGS Democrat-Capital Staff Writer Sedalia's new junior high school, despite rumors to the contrary, will be ready for occupancy this fall, according to its architect. Construction of the building, originally scheduled for completion March 27. has been delayed by both weather and a shortage of certain craftsmen at various stages of operation. Architect Don Buller. who is supervising construction of the building, discounted speculation regarding a further completion delay aiy made by many people not aware of what's going on When you begin building a structure like this, progress seems slow because you easily see it.

he said. you start actually laying the brick, people automatically think you are going faster because they see the work being done. Now. when we are working inside as we are. progress is indeed hidden from ordinary viewing, so it seems slow again." Buller added.

A guided tour by Buller revealed that, in most cases, except the swimming pool, all that remains to be done is a combination of painting and installation of ceilings, classroom equipment and carpeting. On the outside, more rough grading has been completed in play areas and bail fields. The academic area on the south side of the building will be finished next week when all the carpeting is laid. Buller said. The installation this week of dividers, which can be used to divide large classrooms into smaller ones, will finish the entire south wing of the structure.

Buller said.
