Mr. Langhoff was educated in Bloomington schools. He was a member of the Army from 1941 to 1945, serving in the Pacific. Margaret Shawback PONTIAC Margaret E. Shawback, 78, a resident of Livingston Manor, Pontiac, and a retired cook, died at 8 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 1992) at Saint James Hospital, Pontiac. Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac, the Rev.

Walter Bryan officiating. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home, Pontiac. Mrs.

Shawback was born Oct. 12, 1913, at Tomah, a daughter of Ulyssis and Nellie Forsythe Bennington. She married Levi Shawback May 18, 1935, at Pontiac. He died Oct 20, 1990. Survivors include two sons, Bill L.

Shawback, Dana, and Arnold Shawback, Chenoa; one daughter, Mary Edinger, Pontiac; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Benedino, Pontiac. One son, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Shawback, who was educated in rural Cornell schools, was employed as a cook at the Little Chef and New Log Cabin restaurants in Pontiac. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Livingston Manor.

"The Voyage of Christopher Columbus" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from June 3 to July 18. The program traces the first voyage of Columbus to the New World and examines the astronomy of 1492. Three astronomy-related classes will be offered through College of Youth at ISU. Sunday at the funeral home. Clark was born March 15, 1901, in Shelby County, a daughter of William J. and Mary Jane Hut-ton. She married John F. Clark May 11, 1919, in Kenney.

He died Nov. 11, 1979. 'Survivors include three sons, William Harold Clark, Maroa; and Vernon L. and John F. Clark bjoth of Kenney; one brother, Paul "Pete" Mears, Kenney; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; apd one great-great-grandchild.

Two daughters and nine brothers ajnd sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Kenney Christian Church and the Indies Aid Society of the church; the ETC Club of Kenney; Mount Pulaski Garden Club; Kenney American Legion Auxiliary; and the Homemakers Extension Association. Cooper GILMAN The funeral of Mable M. Cooper, 95, of Gilman will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Gilman. The Rev. Paul Bingham will officiate.

Cooper died at 2:51 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 1992) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka. She was born Jan. 10, 1897, in Dauphin County, a daughter of John and Alice Kingsley McCann. She married Walter B.

Cooper on Aug. 14, 1919, in Gilman. He died Feb. 24, 1983. Survivors include a daughter, Alice M.

Cooper, and a sister, Jessie Elliott, both of Gilman. I She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Cooper was a 1915 graduate of Gilman High School and had served as historian of the school's alumni association for 30 years. She attended Eastern Illinois University and was an elementary school teacher in Vermilion County for several years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gilman, where she had served as an elder since 1944. She was a charter member of the Gilman Senior Citizens and past president of the Iroquois Women's Christian Tem-perence Union. Mrs. Cooper also was a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and served many years as its secretary. Memorials may be made to her church.

Langhoff, 75, of Tucson, formerly of the Pontiac and Cornell area, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 1992) at Tucson Medical Center after a brief illness. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service and inurnment will be scheduled at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. 5 He was born Nov.

1, 1916, in Bloomington, a son of William and Daisy Simmons Langhoff. He married Marietta Bunting in Iowa in 1939. He later married Emma Clements in 1946. She died in December 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Mar-dell Norris, Pontiac; a sister, Maxine Johnson, Pontiac; three brothers, Seth Langhoff, Streator; Joseph Langhoff, Spencer, and John Langhoff, Pontiac; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by Moore, Florence graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at Hint-horn Cemetery, rural Hudson. Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, in charge of arrangements. Thomas, Christopher at 11 a.m. at Musselman-Beck Funeral Home, Lexington.

She was born June 13, 1892, in Oshkosh, a daughter of Oliver and Arabella Crary Ellsworth. She married Albert Allyn July 5, 1917, in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Oliver, Sarasota, and two grandchildren. Mrs.

Allyn was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to the Deacon's Fund of the Second Presbyterian Church. Adella L. Crutcher The funeral of Adella L. Crutcher, 74, of 61 Mobil-Land Mobile Home Park, Bloomington, will be at 9:30 a.m.

Monday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, and at 10 a.m. at St Mary's Church, Bloomington. The Revs. Francis Wend-ling and Jerry Ward will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Crutcher, a homemaker, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 1992) at St Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. She was born July 9, 1917, at Wesley, Iowa, a daughter of Elmer and Martha McCormick Davis. She married W. Wayne Crutcher Oct 11, 1937, in Bloomington.

He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Steve, Bloomington, and Bob, Napa Valley, Calif; one sister, Betty Lee, San Diego, 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. One son, six brothers, four sisters and one grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. Crutcher, who graduated from Bloomington High School, was a member of St.

Mary's Church. Memorials may be made to her church or to the American Heart Association. Erik B. Hubbard Erik Benjamin Hubbard, 12, of 1606 Baumgart Road, Normal, died at 6:45 p.m. yesterday (May 29, 1992) at his home.

Erik had been battling a brain tumor since July. He was taken to Stubblefield Funeral Home, Normal. George J. Moore George J. Moore 79, of 1334 13th St, Hilltop Mobile Homes, Bloomington, formerly of Hudson where he was water commissioner, died at 12:20 a.m.

yesterday (May 29, 1992) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. A private family service will be Monday at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Paul Middlesworth George Moore officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

Sunday at the memorial home. Mr. Moore was born June 7, 1912, in Ferrysburg, a son of Merle and Elizabeth Monk Moore. He married Lois V. Arbuckle Dec.

24, 1930, in Bloomington. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, George J. Moore Seattle, and Merle Moore, R.R. 13, Bloomington; two sisters, lone Scheffers and Beulah Barrett, both of Grand Haven, seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

One son and one brother preceded him in death. Mr. Moore worked at Hiram Walker Sons Peoria, for 28 Salvation Army offers day camp Applications are still being accepted for the Salvation Army's 10-week "Fun Factory Day Camp," designed for working parents. Registration, with a $5 fee, can be completed at the agency's office, 212 N. Roosevelt Bloomington.

The camp will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 8 through Aug. 14. Parents must provide transportation.

The cost is $20 per week for the first child, $15 for the second and $10 for each additional child. Children also should bring a sack lunch each day. Children must be age 5 to 12. The camp, partially funded by United Way of McLean County, will include field trips, swimming, skating, puppetry, drama, team sports, crafts and other activities. There is room for 60 children.

Additional information can be obtained by contacting Salvation Army. Computer courses to be offered at ISU Five workshops for educators and computer operators will be offered this summer by Illinois State University at DeGarmo Hall. "Introduction to Multimedia with IBM Linkway" will be offered June 8 through 12 for educators. It is an introductory- to mid-level course in multimedia applications and authoring. The cost is $25 and registration is due June 1.

"Office Vision400" will be taught from June 24 through 26. It is an introductory- to mid-level course in implementing and using the IBM AS400 office capabilities. The cost is $900 and registration is due June 17. July 8 through 10, "CIMS Student Records" will be offered. It is designed for personnel responsible for installing and maintaining student records and registration.

The cost is $825 and registration is due July 1. "AS400 System Operator Workshop" will teach educators and system operators to enhance their skills in day-to-day operation and maintenance of the AS400. The cost is $900 and registration is due July 15. Aug. 5 through 7, "As400 PC Support" will be offered.

For system operators and the end users of PC Support, the course will feature techniques in installing the PC Support The cost is $950 and registration is due July 29. Workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue through mid afternoon each day. Registration and fees should be completed by June 17. Motorcycle classes scheduled at ISU Free motorcycle riding safety courses will be offered by the Illinois State University Motorcycle Safety Program beginning in June at the ISU course on West Gregory Street in Normal.

Courses are open to Illinois residents age 16 and older who have a valid driver's license or permit. The basic rider course will provide motorcycles, helmets, eye protection, course textbook, insurance and gasoline. Courses will be from 5 to 9 p.m. June 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and July from 5 to 9 p.m. June 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and July from 9 a.m.

to 1 p.m. June 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24; from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 12 and 19; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 13 and 20; or from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Normal historian tapped for board A Normal resident was among those recently elected director in the Illinois State Historical Society, while three other Normal people were chosen to serve on the 1 society's advisory board. Mark Wyman will serve as a director for a term to expire in 1994. Roy A Austensen, Carl J. Ekberg and Jo A Rayfield were each chosen for the advisory boatd to serve in 1992-93. The elections took place during the annual meeting of the society, a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation and dissemination of Illinois history.

Mr. Timcke, a retired farmer and oil company employee, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 1992) at LeRoy Manor, LeRoy. He was born Dec. 19, 1903, at Saybrook, a son of Hans and Sophia Rolfs Timcke.

He married Adelaide Bateman June 4, 1931, in Bloomington. She died Nov. 17, 1984. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Timcke was employed by FS Service, Piper City, for 18 years. He moved to the Bateman Farm, Mansfield, where he farmed for nine years until he retired and moved to Farmer City. Trudy K. Wassner PONTIAC Trudy Wassner, 73, of 401 S.

Harward St, Pontiac, a retired secretary and native of the Netherlands, died at 6:45 a.m. yesterday (May 29, 1992) at Saint James Hospital, Pontiac. She had been ill six months. She was cremated. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m.

Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Pontiac, the Rev. Sharon Monroe officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home, Pontiac, has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wassner was born Aug. 18, 1918, at Ulrum, the Netherlands, a daughter of Mint and Menke Dykstra Kampstra.

She married Jack Wassner at Chicago, Sept 25, 1943. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Dr. John Dirk Wassner, Sycamore, and Mark Timothy Wassner, Elgin; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Mina Cook, Grace Sheehan and Rena Niemeyer, all of Oak Park. Mrs.

Wassner, who was educated in Chicago schools, was a secretary at Goss and Miehle Printing Chicago. She moved to the Pontiac area in 1960 and was employed 16 years at Saint James Hospital as office secretary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the church choir, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Saint James Hospital Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. Memorials may be made to her church or to the Livingston County Cancer Society. Bloomington-Normal Margaret Allyn Margaret E.

Allyn, 99, a former resident of Bloomington, died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday (May 27, 1992).
