Just whether the title refers to the charge of dynamite that plays a large part in the dosing climax or the remark of one of the characters earlier In the drama that all "women are Is not made clear But De MUle runs true to form for he has been unable to get away from his idea of a luxurious bathtub in his story However it is but a glimpse and the tub is empty Taken as a whole -is far afield from the usual screen story The opening sequences in fact the first half of the footage is devoted mostly to wild parties making "whoopee" and doing all aorta of things that you will find on the screen and no place else And after the bathtub is exhibited the principal characters do a quick change and the story becomes stark gripping melodrama The story in brief is of a girl who in order to inherit a fortune must marry at once and chooses for her mats a condemned murderer whose execution is but a day away The guilty man confesses and the accused goes free and faces his bride In her own boudoir But she will have naught to do with him for she is in love with another woman husband said woman bartering her Interest in said husband for a large bum of money that she may go to Reno and get a divorce and remarry her new aweetle But by a curious twist tha new bride does go to live at her shack in a coalmining town and after being entombed in a mine cave-1 realises the true-worth of the man she has wed as a matter of convenience These last sequences are drama melodrama if you will but most vividly enacted and gripping until the very end Kay Johnson a favorite stage star- gives a wonderful performance as Cynthia Crothers Charles Bickford also recruited from the drama Is simply perfect in the rough heroic roje of Hagon Derk Conrad Nagel la tho other man and Julia Skye gives one of her best performances as tho wife of Nagel The acting of little Muriel McCor-mac aa the young sister of Derk is most realistic and is sure to gain the sympathy and love of all who see her portrayal of
