Thickson, 63, of 215 Park Place, Lincoln, died at her home early Sunday of an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Thickson was vice president of the Thickson Insurance Agency. The funeral ill be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Mary's Church, with the Kev. Edward Westermann officiating, liurial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kerrigan Funeral Home.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mrs. Thickson was bom Dec. 21, 1910, in Lincoln, a daughter of John and Mae Carmody Malerich. She married Marion C.

Thickson Oct. 17, 1934, at St. Mary's Church, Lincoln. Surviving are her husband; her mother, Lincoln; a son, Marion James, Chicago, and a brother, Clem Malerich, Lincoln. Her father and a brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the Lincoln Woman's Club and Xi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. Mrs. Leona Orlando ROANOKE PflS)-Mrs.

Leona F. Orlando, 63, a former Roanoke resident, died Saturday in a Chicago hospital. Her funeral will 'be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home, Chicago. Graveside services will be at 1:45 p.m.

Tuesday in the Roanoke City Cemetery, with the Rev. Lloyd Vinnedge officiating. She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of Henry and Alice Webber Blotteaux. Mrs. Minnie Kistler CLINTON (PNSi-Mrs; Minnie K.

Kistler, 67, of 424 S. Clinton Clinton, was dead on arrival at 3:25 a.m. Sunday at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton. She had been in failing health for several months.

Mrs. Kistler retired about two years aRo as manaer of Iiords Dress Shop in Clinton. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Herington-Calveit Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ivan Reals officiating.

Burial will be in Weldon Cemetery, Weld-on. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Kistler was born March 8, 1907, in Weldon, a daughter of Thomas and Theeta Smith Roberts.

She was married to Roy Kistler Sept. 9, 1936, in Decatur. Surviving are her husband; a daughter. Mrs. Edna Pyles, Clinton; a foster daughter, Mrs.

Janice Kileen, Clinton: two brothers, Herschel Roberts, Clinton, and Jim Roberts, San Antonio, two sisters, Mrs, Etta Mae Luck, Clinton, and Mrs. Louise Thomas, Long Beach, Calif She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Nora Linton BEASON Mrs. Nora Linton, 95.

Beason, died at 1:05 a.m. Sunday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Kim Soon officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Linton was born June 30, 1879, in Samuel Creighton PEKIN (PNS) Samuel K.

Creighton. 82, a Tazewell County Nursing Home resident, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday at Pekin Memorial Hospital. He had Ix-en ill two years. His funeral will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Sullivan, Ind. Burial will be in the Center Kidge Cemetery, Sullivan, Ind. Abts Mortuary, Pekin, will handle local arrangements. He was born June 27, 1892, in Athens County, Ohio, a son of Samuel E. and Lyda Drain Creighton.

He married Myra Addis in 1909 at Athens County, Ohio. She died in 1961. Surviving are two sons, Clifton, Pekin; Maynard, East Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Marquitta Leonard, Lancaster, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Baughman, Athens, Ohio; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A daughter and two sons preceded him in death. He retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Co. in 1965. Mr. Creighton was a member of the Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.

M-s. Helen Kircher EL PASO (PNS) Mrs. Helen Kircher, 57, formerly of El Paso, died at 9 p.m. Saturday in her home near Salem, Mo: Her funeral and burial will be Tuesday at Salem, Mo. She was born near El Paso Jan.

29, 1917, a daughter of Harry and Martha Seaver Mitlcom. She married Maynard Kircher Nov. 25, 1938. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Urith Pitchford and Mrs.

Virginia Parker, both of Salem, three brothers, Victor, Floyd, John, all of El Paso; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Whisker, Bloomington, and Mrs. Edna Nauman. El Paso. Two brothers preceded her in death.

William Tipton WASHBURN' (PNS) William J. Tipton, 41, died of cancer at 7:35 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. He had been a patient there since Oct.

3. A memorial service was to be at 9 a.m. today at St. Elizabeth Church, Washburn, with the Kev. Meinrad Isslcr officiating.

Mr. Tipton's body was donated to sci-ence. lie was born Nov. 24, l'J32, at Sweet Water, a son of Henry J. and Theresa higier Tipton.

He married Jewel Winkler Nov. 5, I960, at Washburn. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Jill and Gwen, at home; two sons, Billy and Christopher, also at home; two brothers, Henry and Carl, Peoria: six sisters, Mrs. Theresa Ayler, Mrs. Hetty Buhs, Mrs.

Nancy Blaekmore, Mrs. Anna Itieasant, Mrs. Shirley Crew and Mrs. Ada Hose Schmidt, all of Peoria. A brother preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was an electrician for Caterpillar Tractor East Peoria. He also was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, the Holy Name Society, and a scoutmaster. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Grace Wahls CHENOA (PNS)-Mrs. Grace Wahls, 83. died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday at Humiston 1 Liven Nursing Home, Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Chenoa, with the Rev. August Lubkeman officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. She was born May 14, 1391, at Colfax, a daughter of John and Anna Winterland Schuler. She married John Wahls Jan. 18, 1917, in Lawndale Township.

He died Sept. 30, 1972. Surviving are two sons, Ervin and Vernon, both of Chenoa; three brothers, George Schuler, Colfax; David Schuler, Chenoa; Henry Schuler, El Paso, and six grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. She was a member of St.

Paul's Lutheran Church. Ladies' Aid, the Esmeralda Club, the Mennonite Hospital Auxiliary and the Golden Age Club. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Amelia Busby CHENOA (PriS)-Amelia -'Millie" Busby died at 3:30 p.m.

Sunday at her home in Weston. She was brought to Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Bouhl, 66, of 304 E. Walnut, Piper City, died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday at Fairbury Hospital where lie had been a patient since Thursday. He had been in ill health for several months. Mr.

Bouhl worked at a Piper City grocery store for 15 years and was maintenance custodian at Piper City schools for 26 years. He retired in June, 1972. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev.

Oliver Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Piper City. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Reilly Funeral Home, Piper City. Rosary will be recited by the Council of Catholic Women at 3 p.m.

and by the parish at 8 p.m. He was born May 27, 1908, in Piper City, a son of Albert and Mary Ziehr Bouhl. He attended school in Piper City. He married Edna Scott Sept. 11, 1930.

She died July 23, 1950. He married Ruby Christian Hayes June 8, 1957. Surviving are his wife; a son, David, Bloomington; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Corkill, Wilmington; Mrs. Bcrnice Wilson and Mrs.

Margaret Wilson, both of Piper City; Mrs. Ruth Corke, Watseka, and Mrs. Grace Barz, Ogden; a brother, Wayne, Piper City, and a grandson. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Modern Woodmen of America, and was secretary for several years for the Men's Bowling Association.

Mrs. Agnes Smith GIBSON CITY (PNS) Mrs. Agnes R. Smith, 76, a former resident of Gibson City, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday in a Mesa, hospital.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gibson City Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Lamb Funeral Home.

Mrs, Smith was born Nov. 14, 1897, in Gibson City, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Rasmussen.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roger Adams, Northfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Betty Jensen, Burbank, three soas, Wilbur Hull, with the U.S. army, George Hull, Mesa, and Gene Hull, Los Angeles, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Rosie Yarger, Bloomington; Mrs.

Schmid. Chicago man faces multiple charges A Chicago man, arrested by state police on traffic charges Sunday morning, was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance. Lacy Simpkins, 30, was being held at tlx; McLean County Jail at noon Monday in lieu of $6,500 bond to appear Nov. 4 in associate division of circuit court. He is charged with speeding, driving without a license, unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, unlawful use of a weapon, having no firearms identification and possession of cocaine.

He was employed 36 years by the Caterpillar Co. as a heat treater before retiring eight years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Isaak Walton League of Roanoke.

Mrs. Cora Stucker WENONA (PNS) Mrs. Cora A. Stucker, 89, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Streator.

She had resided there one year. Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Thierry Funeral Home, Wenona, with the Rev. L.J. McNemee officiating.

Burial will be in Wenona Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born March 11, 1885, in Osage Township, a daughter of Jacob and Bertha Junker Scheuer. She married Alva Stucker in 1903.

Herriott, 81, Mahomet, died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday at Champaign County Nursing Home. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahomet United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tom Lindeman officiating.

Burial will, be in Grand View Memorial Gardens, rural Champaign. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Blair Funeral Home, Mahomet. She was born Feb. 2, 1893.

at Farmer City, a daughter of Charles B. and Eliza Birney Hoit. She married Matt D. Herriott June 22, 1916, at Mahomet. He died in November, 1952.

Surviving are two sons, Roger Herriott. Mahomet; F.T. Herriott, Memphis. two daughters, Mrs. Harold Hickle, Mahomet; Mrs.

Claude Cruse. Champaign: a sister, Mrs. Feme Williamson, Mahomet; a brother, Myron Iloit, Mahomet, and five grandchildren She was a lifelong resident of Mahomet and taught at Cherry Grove and Harmony schools. Henry Pech UNCOLN-Henry Pech, 94, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. He was taken to the Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta. Three youths charged with pot possession Three youths were charged with possession of marijuana Sunday night by Bloomington police. John R.

Nelson, 19, Pekin; Bruce James Giwn, 19, Marengo, and John D. Mortensen, 18, Mokena, were being held at the McLean County Jail at noon Monday in lieu of $1,000 bonds to appear Nov. 1 in associate division of circuit court. 'Hie youths were arrested on U.S. 51 south of Bloomington about 10 p.m.

Sunday by a Bloomington patrolman who had followed them from Miller and Main streets. Hie. officer said he smelled marijuana when he stopped the car and a search of tlx; car revealed a bag of less than 30 grams of marijuana, a pipe and cigarette papers. County Republicans to tour area The McLean County Republican Caravan, which consists of candidates for county and 41th Legislative District offices, will tour the county this Friday and Saturday. Caravan Chairman Curtis Johnson said candidates may cither take a special bus or drive their own cars.

New singing group to perform at church HARTSBURG (PNS)-The Hartsburg-Enxlen High School Folk Ensemble, a ix-w singing group, will provide a pro-grani before the bake sale Wednesday at tlx- Hartsburg United Methodist Church. Douglas, a retired blacksmith, carpenter and amateur violin maker, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness. Mr.

Thomas operated a blacksmith simp at Holder and Bcntown for 40 years. He worked from 1941 to 1967 as a machinist at The Eureka Co. And, when he was 82, lie decided he would make his own violin, a Pantagraph story related. He was no stranger to violins, he played a pretty good tune and had been repairing and restringing them for several years. Hie finished product "played pretty well," he told a reporter.
