The McLean County Dental Society honored a longtime Twin City dentist and elected 1992-93 officers at its annual dinnerrecognition this week at the Bloomington Country Club. Dr. Ted Century, who recently retired, was recognized for 32 years practicing dentistry in Bloomington-Normal and for his many civic accomplishments. He has served as president of the McLean County Dental Society, the Normal Rotary Club and the Normal Ski Club. He plans to move to Boise, Idaho, to enjoy the outdoors and volunteer in civic activities.

Arbuckle earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Western State College in Colorado and a master of science degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. Among his honors are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal for Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and the Combat Infantry Badge. A woman from California was in LaSalle County Jail last night after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 80 near LaSalle about 8:30 p.m., state police said.
