12A SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 2021 THE ITHACA JOURNAL CANANDAIGUA -Wil- son Henry Boyce passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the age of 19. Wilson touched every- one he came into contact with. At age 10, he cre- ated The Groton Times, a weekly newsletter that cracked everybody up and developed a strong following. A couple years later, he began selling water at the Found FleaMarket in Ithaca where he became a summer fixture known affectionately to both vendors and customers also loved spending summers onOwasco Lake with his cousins, Emerson and Jed and grandparents, Jim and Wendy Kron. He attended Casowasco summer camp many years and was known by all as Wilson loved music and theater.

He played in multiple school bands and earned membership in the Tri-MMusic Honor Society.He performed in several school productions and with the Itha- ca theater company Running to Places. Wilson earned a scholarship from the Police Benevolent Association before studying NewMedia at FLCC. His degree will be conferred in May. In addition tomusic, theatre, photography, and videography, Wilson loved Disney World andWegmans. Hewill be sorelymissed by loving and Donald Boyce, and many others.

Every time we see the color orange, we will think of Wilson. Wilson Henry Boyce LaVern (Bernie) F. Morse 73, passed awayMarch 21st, 2021 in Oxford, Florida. Bernie was born on December 5th, 1947 in Ithaca, NY to the late LaVern T. and Virginia Corgel Morse. Bernie was an accom- plished horseman; in his earlier years he competed in the local horse shows as a barrel racer and then later in life traveling the ITPA race circuit with his family.

Bernie also enjoyed golfing, bowling and riding his Harley and was an avid sport enthusiast; Go Bills! Bernie was amember of theOperating Engineers Union Local 545. Bernie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorretta (Hays) and his children; Tammy Jo (Randy) and Bernie Jr. (Michelle), Grandson Dustin (Tammy Lynn), Granddaughters Kylie Morse, Elizabeth Cleveland and Great-Grandsons Parker and Ma- son. Bernie is also survived by his siblings; Betty (Bob)Aldrich, EdwardMorse, Charles (Trudy) Morse, Thomas Morse, Bonnie (Casey) (Mark)Waterman and Deforest Sousa as well as his sisters-in-law Lois (Wayne) Billups, Louise Bordenet and brother- in-law Jack Dickhaut plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date LaVern (Bernie) F.

Morse Sr. WAYNESBORO, VA Robert L. Bristow, 78, died peacefully at home in Waynesboro, Virginia on March 15, 2021. He was born December 3, 1942 to Arthur R. and Mary Alice Bristow and lived most of his life and his family then moved to Ithaca, NY in 1996.

Robert and Barbara moved to Waynesboro, Virginia in 2017 to be closer to their grown sons and grandsons. Robert also enjoyed spending winters in Florida whenever possible. Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara (Dun- bar); his brother John; his sons and their wives Brian (Crystal Matthews) and James (Kelsey Hazelwood); his two cherished grandsons, Ben- jamin and Silas; McCabe; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was a devoted father and a hard worker; his dedication to providing for his family was unwavering. He learned to drive at the age of 12 and had a lifelong love of cars especially muscle cars, which he would buy, fix, drive and sell at a prodigious pace.

Robert inherited the skills and love for life on the water from his father, who served as 1st mate on several ships on the Great Lakes. He found great pleasure in taking his family and friends out for boat rides. He loved being near the water. sharp mind and playful attitude were always on display at social gatherings. From family reunions and parties with friends, to his post of at the local diner, neither family nor friendwas spared his lighthearted pranks and jabs.

Robert was kind, moral, and generous of spirit always quick to help a neighbor. He was a role model to his children and led by example.He had a mischievous glint in his eye to the end. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Robert L. Bristow Lani S.

Stephenson, retired associate pro- fessor of Nutrition at Cornell University, died onMar 10th after a long illness in Newfield NY. Long connected with Cornell University where she completed her BsC, MA and PhD, she then worked there until retirement as an associate professor of Nutrition in the Divi- sion of Nutritional Sci- ences. Lani published seminal papers on the link between parasitic infections and malnu- trition in developing countries. She also spent 2 years as a visiting professor at the Danish Center for Experimental Parasitology. Lani was predeceased by her hus- band and life partner, Michael Latham and her beloved dog Lucy.
