Mason City Juniors Win From Clinton in 6-1 Tilt 2-Hit Job by Jim VerHelst Mason City Junior Legion baseball team was just one game away from getting into to after beating the Clinton Juniors 6-1 here Tuesday night. It was the first game of a 2-out-of-3 series between the champs of the 4th and 2nd districts. Thursday night at Mason City at 8 clock the clubs get together tor their 2nd meeting. If Clinton wms, a 3rd game will be played Friday night on the Roosevelt field diamond. Gets 13 Strikeouts The defending state champions from Mason City got another sparkling pitch- i perform- a Tuesday from Big Jim VerHelst.
