Boiler Brothers of Kansas City and Los Angeles designed the architectural plans of the New Walker Theater which represents the one hundredth theater built according to Boiler design.

Among the number of buildings handled by these architects are the Empress Theater, Sacramento; White Theater, Fresno; Englewood Theater, Englewood; and. the Hotels Barbara and Stuarl, Angeles. Boiler Brothers opened their Los Angeles office three years ago. They are rightfully proud of their latest effort, the New Walker. A.

FIRM GENERAL CONTRACTORS ON JOB. House Graham, of Santa Ana. were the general contractors for the Xew Walker Theater. This firm makes a specialty of rein- forred concrete work and the new theater stands as a splendid specimen of their work. The Chandler Music Store, Stein Motor company, Moreland Truck company and Santa Ana Auto Top company buildings were ail built by this firm, as well as many residences and duplex houses throughout the city.

The big chandlier is one of the many specimens of their work. This concern, composed of T. Delmenico and H. Merrill, have handled over fifty theaters in all parts of the country. Both firm members are unanimous in declaring the New Walker to stand as one of the finest of its class in the entire country.

LOCAL BRICK MAKER SUPPLIES FRONT MATERIAL. Walter Wright, local brick contractor, is responsible for the beautiful terra cotta and tile front of. the New Walker Theater in addi-j tiitfi to all, brick work. Wright employed an average of 50 men the theater job and completed hisj part of the work in record time, Among the many buildings built by Wright in Santa Ana are the Moore building, occupied by the Mateer, Drug Store, Santa Ana Development building at First and Sycamore. SAND, GRAVEL CONTRACT EFFICIENTLY HANDLED. Yaeger Rock company, of Fullerton, handled the rock and sand contract of the New Walker Theater, living up to their slogan of efficiency, service and quality.

This company have the First National Bank, Hall of Records ana the Newport Heights subdivision contracts at the present, time. The Chapman building at Fullerton is another Yaeger job. WOODWORK DETAILS ARE STRIKING. Some of the striking artistic features of the Walker Theater are the fine woodwork details. These details take you back to an age long past and bespeak volumes for the knowledge and ability of the Mr.

Bolling. Here he has reproduced the artistic work of medevial wood workers with their application to modern construction. The craftsmen of the Barr Lumber company put into life again these ancient details for your pleasure and enjoyment. The knowledge of the architect, the enterprise of Mr. Walker and the skill of the Barr craftsmen have combined to make this beautiful result possible for us.

FADDEN SUPPLIES HARDWARE. John McFadden Company sup; plied the hardware used on the New Walker. This concern is generally represented in all important building operations in Santa Ana. either in the hardware, plumbing, painting or sheet metal work. Another big job now being done by McFadden is the plumbing contract on the First National Bank building.

TEXTURE PLASTERING BY S. A. MAN. The textufb plastering, travatine work and all imitation tile cement wbrk in the New Walker Theater was done by W. F.

Hohman of 502 Cypress street, Santa Ana. Hoh- contract on the theater near $10,000 and called for the labor of fifteen expert workmen. The artistic walls and ceilings in the new house, the tile floor in the lobby and the mantle in the foyer are specimens of the Hohman work. He did this same class of work on Million Dollar Theater, Van Nuys building, L. A.

Athletic Club and Hotel Stowell In Los Angeles. His Santa Ana work includes the John Muir and Lowell schools. FULLER FIRM SUPPLIES ALL WINDOW GLASS, W. P. Fuller Company supplied all window glass used in the New Walker Theater and by their prompt service did their share in making possible the opening of the house tomorrow night.

ART GLASS WORK IS FROM L. A. All art glass work in the New Walker Theater was supplied and put in place by the Los Angeles Art Glass company of Los Angeles. The restful lighting scheme rests to a great extent upon their product. In its consistent adaptation of the Spanish Platresque type of architecture, both Inside and out. it combines perfectly the last word in every detail of modern theater creation and enterprise. Nothing is more Indicative of the degree of perfection that has been attained in the construction of the new addition to the business sector than the atmosphere of harmony, luxury, and restful spaciousness" which has been achieved. Exterior in Terra Gotta. The exterior of the building is glazed plusichrome terra cotta in pink granite, with polychrome ornaments picked out. in mellow tints of blue, pink and gold tones. Red tile has been used for the floor of the street entrance and lobby. The latter is finished in travetine plater and ornamental staff work.

A spacious foyer contains an attractive mantle, the two wide stairways leading to the mezznine i floor and the balconies, and has in one end of it a sound proof nursery. There are 55 ioge seats, all equipped with overstuffed leather chairs. Other seats are of grey woodwork with blue leather Under the balcony are three leaded pearl glass light circles backed by a race of colored lights. 3000 Lights in Theater. There are 3000 lights in the theater.

Twelve candelabraras adorn the sides and each with four orange globes and contain hidden eTOups of colored lights. The Interior decoration work which makes the beautiful of the New Walker was done by the Robert Power Studio, of Los Angeles. This concern decorated 39 theaters in California during the year of 1923, doing a half-million dollar business. The Walker job called for a force of sixty Theaters, banks, churches and public buildings make up the field of work for the Power concern. Among the playhouses decorated by this company are the Criterion and Jensen's Melrose, Los Angeles; Hollywood; California, Pomona; Carbillo, San Pedro; Imperial, Coliseum and Cameo at San Francisco; California. D. A. Dale Hardware company handled all plumbing, sheet metal work and some of the hardware on the New Walker Theater. The marquise in front of the theater is a specimen of the sheet metal of this well-known Sanfa Ana firm. CHANDLER FIRM SUPPLIES ALL DRAPERIES.

The draperies, carpets and furniture In the New Walker Theater were furnished by Ira Chandler Son. Their artistic work In this new Santa Ana amusement palace reflects great credit upon their organization and does much to add to the perfect harmony distinguishing the entire color scheme of the theater. Dessery, with offices in The Register building, furnished all compensation insurance, public liability and bonds which were in force during the con-1 struction period of the New tValker Theater.
