Dwight area crash injures two men BLACKSTONE-4 91-year-old rural Green Valley man and a 42-year-old Dwight resident were injured in a twocar collision at the intersection of Illinois routes 17 and 170, 10 miles west of Dwight, at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday. Paschel Allen, 91, a former member of the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors, and Arthur Kern, Dwight, were listed in fair condition Thursday noon. at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.

State Trooper Dan Falcomata said both cars were demolished. Trooper Falcomata said Allen was southbound on 170 and Kern Westbound on 17. Allen. he said, stopped for the stop sign, then pulled into the path of Kern's auto. Allen was charged with failure to yield right of way.

James Clark, 86, dies; retired ICC supervisor James R. Clark, 86, long-time official of the Illinois Commerce Commission and a former Bloomington police magistrate, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday at Brokaw Hospital. He retired in 1962 after 42 years as supervisor of opinions and orders for the 1CC. Active in Republican politics, he had been a commissioner by appointment of Gov.

Len Small in 1928 before taking the supervisor post. Mr. Clark, who lived at 1404 Clinton was police magistrate for about seven years as a young man. He was a graduate of Bloomington schools and the old law school at Illinois Wesleyan University. He attended the University of Illinois and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

In 1971 he marked his 75th year as a member of Bloomington Country club. The funeral 1 will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Metzler Memorial Home, with the Rev. David Goss officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

No visitation is scheduled. Mr. Clark was born In Bloomington Nov. 8, 1885, a son of James and Lenna Mae Leech Clark. He married Helen M.

McGregor Dec. 30, 1908 in Bloomington. She died in 1970. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Marjorie Elizabeth, at home, and two nephews. A sister also preceded him in death.

Memorials to the Brokaw Hospital Service League were suggested. Two sons, his parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and farmed north of Flanagan for more than 50 years.
