A native of Canada, he lived in New Rochelle since 1928. Mr. Eadie worked for more than 30 years as a comptroller for 20th Century-Fox Film Corp. in Manhattan. He retired in the 1960s.

In the early 1930s, Mr. Eadie joined 20th Century-Fox in Manhattan, which was known at that time as Fox Films. He was interviewed and hired by William Fox, for whom the film company was named. Mr. Eadie represented the film company all over the world, his daughter, Doreen Eadie Danbury, said.

She said her father initiated a standardized computerized accounting system which he implemented throughout the company's locations in the United States and abroad. Mr. Eadie's work required a great deal of traveling, which he enjoyed, his daughters said. He was particularly fascinated by the Orient, she said. "He had a fantastic memory and a fantastic mind," Doreen Eadie said.

"It was i almost like he had a photographic memory." One of Mr. Eadie's hobbies was sailing, and during World War II, he shared his expertise as a navigation teacher the U.S. Coast Guard in New York. Mr. Eadie was a member of Larchmont Yacht Club and New Rochelle Yacht Club.

Mr. Eadie was born Jan. 10, 1898, in Holland, Manitoba, Canada, a son of Wilford and Annie Love Eadie. He was raised in Canada, where he graduated as a chartered accountant from the University of Manitoba. At the age of 16, he ran away from home and enlisted in the Canadian National Army, and was stationed in France.

On April 19, 1922, he married Annie Douglas Murray in Canada, and in 1927 he and his wife came to the United States. They lived in Brooklyn for one year before moving to New Rochelle in 1928.
