Mrs. Ransom Allen has returned home frt>m the St, Mary's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Edwards and Debbie spent a weekend at Nauvoo sightseeing. Bobby Hart has returned home from MoUne Public Hospital. He recently got hurt when he had a wagon jacked up and it fell on his back. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stickles of Wataga and Mrs. Ferron Halver- eon of Dickinson, N. D., were re* cent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nelson and Kay and Roger. Mrs. Halverson remained for a few days' visit at the Nelson home. Mrs. Ransom Allen has returned home from St. Mary's Hospital. Brownie Scouts, Troop 464, held a meeting Sept. 18. The girls and leaders went on a hike to the Gene Mathers farm. New Brownie leaders, are Mrs. Jim Jones and Mrs. Gene Mathers. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Johnson were dinner guests recently at the home of the Charles Con- ways. On their return home, they called on Roy Brown of Monmouth, who is now visiting his niece, Mrs. Jacobs in Viola. Brown and the late Mrs. Brown lived as neighbors of the Johnsons in Lakeland, Fla., during the winter. Don Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams, is in Navy boot training at San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tornquist drove to Iowa City Sept. 22 to see Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Reed. Reed is a patient at the hospital there for seven weeks. The Reeds formerly lived in Arizona and now live in Aledo. Mr. and Mrs. David Johnson recently visited his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Roy Johnson at Iowa City. Mr. and Mrs. ..averne Carlson and daughters Christine and Mary and Carlson's mother, Mn. A. L. Carlson of Mesa, Ariz., were Sept. 15 callers at the Arthur Johnson home. Christine was graduated from the Kahler School of Nursing of Rochester, Minn., Aug. 25. Mary is enrolled at Western Illinois University at Macomb. The Carlsons recently moved from Albert Lea, Minn., to Alpha, where Carlson is an employe of the bank. Mrs. Carlson is a music instructor.
