on the party platform refused to comment publicly on victory but his friends regarded It as unlikely he would follow in supporting the Democratic nominee Senator Borah said Saturday he had agreed to confer Sunday with Leigh Colvin national chairman of the Prohibition party but did not know what would be discussed Borah who recently announced he would not support President Hoover on the prohibition plank adopted by the Republican party refused to comment on suggestions that he run for president as the candidate of the prohibition party Colvin was on hls way here to urge Borah to make Garlock his foster mother April 13 was freed Saturday night by a Jury after 45 minutes deliberation A verdict of was returned at 7:45 o'clock Mrs Garlock died as a result of a gunshot wound alleged to have been fired by Woolery after he had quarreled with the woman over farm chores The boy charged with first degree murder revealed under cross examination on the witness stand Saturday that he had a knowledge of the rifle with which he Is alleged to have fatally shot his foster mother and admitted that he had fired the gun before the day of the tragedy The boy described In a voice barely audible ard Aide but Return up to Colorado Governor Thomas warden at the Idaho state penitentiary will leave Boise Sunday for Denver carrying extradition papers for the return of David Minton to Idaho to face charges of assisting Mrs Lyda Southard Twin Falls husband slayer to escape from the Idaho prison Minton has indicated he will fisrht extradition but "Warden Thomas is confident the Colorado governor will isue the necessary twpers releasing the prisoner to Idaho authorities Denver officials already have promised that they hold Minton In custody until Thomas arrives Hope Renewed Minton was arrested in Denver Friday after Colorado authorities had continued a search to locate the fugitive wanted by Idaho authorities Through his capture officers hope to uncover the thus-far obscure trail of Mrs Southard and to cut short the liberty she won -'lay 4 1931 in a daring escape over the walls of the ward at the Idaho penitentiary Idaho authorities assert that Minton himself a former Idaho convict who finished his term only a month before Mrs escape drove the automobile in which Mrs Southard escaped and furnished part of the paraphernalia used in the break for liberty The trail of Minton and Mrs Southard was picked up in Colorado in July 1931 when the pair was believed to have been seen in Fort Collins and Superior Last May car collided with that of two Denver patrolmen Minton agreed to
