November 29, 1992 MK Vtk Robert Reades retired business executive Michael Joseph Gangemfc retired police captain ke was a member of the Apa-wamis Club and the American Yacht Gub and was a parishioner or Christ's Church, all in Rye. Mr. Reade also had homes in Wat Falmouth, and Vero Beach, Fla. He is survived by his wife of Rye; three daughters, Deborah Christensen of Park City, Utah, Nancy Everett of Rye and Jane Nissi of Wellesley Hills, a brother, Alan Lee Reade of Bloomsfield Hills, and eight grandchildren.

Family and friends are making donations to the Rye Free Reading Room and to United Hospital Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Graham Funeral Home in Rye. cousin, Richard Reade, now of Setauket, N.Y. He graduated from Columbia University.in 1936. Mr.

Reade served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and commanded a PT boat squadron in the Mediterranean. He earned the Bronze Star and Silver Star medals and the Croix de Guerre. Alter the war Mr. Reade helped found an organization for PT boat officers called Peter Tare and he served for several years on the board of directors.

He married Doris Hughes on Nov. 27, 1948, in Southern Pines, N.C. Mr. Reade was on the board of directors of the Rye YMCA in the 1940s and 1950s. Robert Reade, a longtime Rye resident, died of a heart attack Friday at United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester.

He was 77. The vice president and comptroller of Julius Wile and Sons wine and liquor importers, Mr. Reade retired in 1975. He had worked for the company, which was in New York City and became a division of RJR Nabisco, for 37 years. A tennis player, Mr.

Reade won the National Senior Platform Tennis Championship in 1963. He was born May 18, 1915, in Cedarhurst, N.Y., to Lee and Hilda Blum Reade. He moved to Rye in 1933 to live with his aunt and uncle and grew up with his the Shandaken Rod and Gun Gub at Big Indian, New York. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and gardening. "He loved to work that was his enjoyment in life, said his daughter Helen Dommermuth of Hopewell Junction, "His end-of-the-year barbecues were famous.

He loved to make macaroni. And he was always handing out bags of fresh produce when people came to visit Mr. Gangemi was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Hartsdale. Besides his daughter, he is survived by his wife; another daughter, Michele Gangemi of Hartsdale; a son, Michael L. Gangemi of West Harrison; a brother, Louis Gangemi of Elms-ford; two sisters, Dorothy Vacca-ro of Port Chester and Catherine Theriault of Cape Coral, and four grandchildren.

Donations are being made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. I Funeral arrangements are be-' ing. handled by the McElroy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc. in Elmsford. He was born Oct 3, 1929, to Luigi and Helen Rawlings Gangemi in White Plains.

He attended Greenburgh schools and graduated from high school in 1947. Mr. Gangemi served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948 and was recalled to active duty from 1950 to 1951 during the Korean War, He attained the rank of corporal. Before joining the police force, he worked for General Motors in North Tarrytywn.

A resident of Hartsdale since 1940, for the past four years Mr. Gangemi divided his time between Westchester County and his second home in Hudson, Fla. On Nov. 4, 1951, his married Gloria Cassanelli at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. Mr.

Gangemi served on the New York state Board of Traffic and Safety in Albany from 1972 to 1988. Mr. Gangemi was a member of the American Legion, Butler Johnson Post No. 520 in Elms-ford. He was a member of the Elks Gub of Scarsdale and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hudson, Fla.

He was president of PhDomenaC. Loiaconos lifelong Harrison resident Philomena C. Loiacono, a life- tion. She was co-founder and long Harrison resident, died Fri- past president of the Ladies Aux-day at SL Agnes Hospital in iliary of the John Cabot Gub, a White Plains. She was 83.

civic organization. Michael Joseph Gangemi, a retired Greenburgh police captain and longtime Hartsdale resident, died of a heart attack Friday at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 63. Mr. Gangemi was an officer with the Greenburgh Police Department for 35 years.

4 I He joined the force Feb. 1, 1953, and attained the rank of captain in 1982. He served as commanding officer of the forces patrol unit and traffic unit, acted as a departmental liaison to Town Hall on zoning and planning and special events, and helped to found the department's paramedic unit in 1980. He retired in 1988. was my boss for a num-- ber of years when he was commanding officer of staff services, said Greenburgh police Chief John Kapica.

He knew everybody and had connections throughout the state. Because of that, the town of Greenburgh really did well when we needed something, he could help. He wrote the grant that originally got us our first paramedics. He was a decent guy, a fair guy; He always tried to do the right thing." Angelina Carducci, an Italian immigrant who lived in Mamaro-neck and Larchmont for most of her life, died of respiratory problems yesterday at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center. She was 80.

She was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Rocasecca, Italy, to Bernardo and Saveiia Georgio Marsella. She grew up in Italy and immigrated to the United States in October 1927. On June 15, 1935, she married Joseph Carducci at St. Vito's Church in Mamaroneck.

The eldest of 12 children, Mrs. Loiacono was born June 27, 1909, to Frank and Guilia Russo Cassa-lia. She attended Harrison schools until the age of 14, when she left to help support her family by working in the garment district in White Plains. In 1928, she married Dominick Loiacono. He died in 1978.

Mrs. Loiacono was a parishioner of SL -Gregory the Great Church in Harrison. She was a member of the Harrison Senior Citizens organiza- homemaker, longtime area resident I Death Notices.CTK Society. Aiide from her sister, Mrs. Carducci is survived by two sons, Joseph and Benjamin Carducci of Mamaroneck; and a daughter, Marie Bolchazy of Barrington, six grandchildren; ami a great-grandchild.

Her husband died in 1983. A sister, Elizabeth Fraioli, and a brother, Larry Marsella, also died earlier. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Coxe 6c Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. In addition to his wife of Greenwich, he is survived by two daughters. Sue Staplefield Breen of Stamford and Veronica Staplefield Kriskey of Greenwich; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Banksvilie Independent Fire Dept, Greenwich Bedford Road, Bedford, N.Y. Arrangements are being handled by Leo P. Gallagher lc Son Funeral Home in Greenwich. Her sister, Mary Marsella of Mamaroneck, said the Carduccis loved to go ballroom dancing. "They used to go dancing every week without fail," she said.

They loved the cha-cha and the tango. Mrs. Carducci also loved to cook and swim, her sister said. She was a homemaker for many years and a parishioner of St Vito's Church in Mamaroneck. She was also a member of the Columbiettes and the Betsy Ross On Jan.

From 1965 until his retirement in 1990, Mr. Staplefield' worked as a quality control supervisor for Balteau Electronics in Stamford, Conn. Staplefield, a former Port Chester resident, died Saturday of an aneurysm at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut He was 65. Mr. Staplefield was born in Port Chester on May 14, 1927, to diaries and Frances Doran Staplefield. He was educated in Port Chester schools. He moved to Greenwich 45 years ago.
