(UPI) - Wenldy (37-25-36) Beriawitz belted out a chorus of "Wedding Bells' Go Ding Dong," auctioned off the top half of her purple velvet swimming suit and went to jail for exposing the 37 in a public place.' "We've sold everything but our guitar which we can't sell because we're music i a n s," Wendy shouted to the mostly [male crowd;of 1,000 persons Wednesday on the University of Oklahoma campus. The men showed up to get a closer look at the former graduate school instructor. All That's Left? "AH I've got left as, the bathing suit off my back, so it's going to be auctioned right now." The bidding did not go as high as she expected. " "Come on, I don't want to eat beans tonight," she pleaded. "I can't take it ofif until I get the money. Her bond was set at $1,000 and she was jailed when she couldn't post the bond. "If my husband can walk around without a shirt, why can't I? I'm sick of looking at my husband's tanned chest. They know I'll show up. "If I'm found innocent I'll take my blouse off in court and not wear one in the summer the rest of my life. I dlon't feel I'm doing anything wrong and I won't plead guilty. If. I feel like taking my Mouse ofif, I ought to have the might to do it. I'm just interested in being comfortable." Hearing Planned Over Alternatives On Scenic Drive MARION, HI. (UPI) - The Shawnee, National Forest has scheduled a pulbllc meeting here Saturday to hear opJntans about five dtemaiivies for scenic drive corridor developmenit. The session is scheduled for I p.m. in the Marion High School auditorium. A forest spokesman said another public meeting on the proposed development would be held in the Springfield area in the fall. He said the forest has no official position in support of any of the alternatives. One plan calls for construction of a new two-lane limited access road running from the Mississippi River to tiie Ohio River north of Illinois 146, connecting several recreation areas and traversing high ridges to take advantage of scenic views. This proposal is known as the George Rogers Clark Scenic Drive. Other alternatives call for maintaining tlie status quo; a combination road and trail, and improving existing roads. Noel Sheldon, Shawnee recreation and watershed staff officer, will conduct the meeting. The Bedlington terrier is a dog that looks like a smadl lamb.
