Sec Oliver Stoeber Real Estate Local Auto Man Attends Omaha School Jim Reed, service manager of Ernie Willims Ponliac- Cadillac, Algona, has returned from the General Motors Training Center at Omaha where he attended a school in advanced automotive service technique. At the school, one of a nationwide network of train- centers being set up by General Motors to keep its dealerships abreast of new mechanical developments, Jim selected the 1956 model course, taking advanced study in automotive service. Ernie Williams, head of the local firm, said he sent Jim to the Omaha Training Center to give his customers the benefit of improved techniques taught there. The Omaha school, -with more than 27,000 square feet of floor space, has eight specialized shop classrooms. Each General Motors car division sends highly trained instructors for its courses at the center, which is managed by M. E. Harrig. A birthday parly with Halloween decorations was held at the Glenn Gnbrielson home for Glennda's 12th birthday. Dinner guests were Mrs Ann Vick and Wayne and Mrs Esther Hess and Gloria all of Webster City. Kathy Bay of Algona also spent the weekend. It was an even bigger weekend [or Kcnyon Gabrielson who accompanied his father to Gordon, Nebr., on a cattle buying trip. It also happened to be near an Indian Reservation which proved interesting to both father and son. The Sunday night crowd was the regular card party club gathering at the Leo Kirschbaum home. Among the guests were Mr and Mrs Allan Wagner, Mr and Mrs Herman Thiigcs, Mr and Mrs Roland Bode, Mr and Mrs Gerald Brown, Mr and Mrs Vornon Plathe, Mr and Mrs Bill Lamuth and Mrs Elizabeth Mcrgen. Mrs Allan Wagner and Mr Herman Thilges were high prize winners and Mr and Mrs Vernon Bluthe were low winners and Mrs Hill Lamuth was travel winner. Kenneth Kirschbaum returned home with Mrs Mergcn for a few days visit on thu farm at WhiUemore. Mi' and Mrs Mack Wisp took a night off from the store and accompanied by Frank Wise of Mason City, attended a dinner in Algona at the VFW, given by the Hoxie Fruit company. After closing their fishing resort in Minnesota, Clarence and Grover Grubb accompanied by Bill Huff, have taken off for a week's fishing trip in Minnesota.
