Mr. Kemp, who is now chief deputy sheriff, served as sheriff from 1950 to 1954. Prior to that he was on the Illinois State Police force and served in District 6 with headquarters at Pontiac. A World War II veteran, he served in the Aleutians with the Sea-Bees. He is a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. and Mrs. Kemp live at 334 E. Pells St. in Paxton and have two children.

Jerry, an Illinois Wesleyan University graduate, is now completing a tour of duty in the Army. Janice is a senior in dramatics at IWU. Mrs. Kemp is a fourth grade teacher in the Clara Peterson School at Paxton. Lexington Girl Hurt in Accident LEXINGTON (PNS) Mary Lisa Schreiber, 3 year old daughter of Mr.
