CALIFORNIA OUTDOORS State To Issue Special Deer Hunting Licenses SAN FRANCISCO State Fish and Game Commission announced last week it would issue 4.835 permits for special hunts in eight areas this fall. Duck hunters may be affected by a change in regulations. The commissioners voted to issue permits by lot a week ahead of time. Last year it was first come, first served. On-the-spot will be given only to fill each area to capacity.

Final action on the preliminary decision is expected at the Aug. 20 meeting in Los Angeles. All special deer hunt applications must be in by Aug. 16, except for the anterless shoot San Benito County. Drawings will be held Aug.
