But if the benefit of my advice will serve, here it is, if seeking a foothold in TV: Find yourself a partner. No, not as a song-and-dance team. But if an actor, find a writer who has the same ambition: to make a name for himself in TV. The networks want new ideas.

If you can put together a package of your own. you can cut coupons for a long time. skeptical? Ill give you an example of a young man with an idea. Cy Howard was a comedy writer for Jack Benn But he happy. He wanted to be in business for himself.

So he created "My Friend first a radio show, then a movie which made Martin and Lewis household names, now the TV series. You, as an actor or writer, must do the same. Analyze the shows you see, figure out what the public wants and give it to them.
