HaJf-Hour TV Special on Dutch Elm Disease Control of Dutch elm disease will be the subject of a special television show over WQAD-TV (Channel 8) Moline on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 9:30 p.m. Participants with host Dick Greene will be Ted Curtin, extension forester; Marvin Carbon- jieau, extension ornamental horticulturist; Bill Nelson, extension landscape architect, all of the University of Illinois College at Agriculture; and Dan Neely, Associate plant pathologist, Slate Natural History Survey, Urbana. These specialists will discuss how to identify the symptoms of Patch elm disease, how to keep it under control as much as pos- ittrii and how to protect uncus- I'used decs. They will mom mend control measures for woodland owners, show how to remove trees and stumps, and talk about where and how to plant replacement varieties to fit into the overall landscape plan. Rosemont also plans to be involved in production ventures with Horton. Horton first achieved national prominence as the 'star of the network television series, "Wagon Train."
