She married William Kirkpatrick Nov. 17, 1943, in Chicago. He died in 1968. She married John W. Crenshaw Sept.

2, 1914, in Saybrook, a daughter of John and Marie Rasor. She married Eugene Mlekush. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry Pitts and Mrs. Jan Rittenhour, both of Carthage, Ind.

Mrs. Evelyn Comfort TOWANDA-Mrs. Evelyn L. Comfort, 52, of 201 S. Jefferson, Towanda, died at 12:15 p.m.

Wednesday at Brokaw Hospital, Normal. She had been ill about 2V: months. She was brought to East Lawn Memorial Chapel, Bloomington. She will be cremated. There will be no services or visitation.

She was born in Chicago July 9, 1924, a daughter of Jack and Jennie Graves Trotter. She married Thomas E. Comfort Oct. 1, 1945, at Streator. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Judith Ann Comfort, Bloomington, and Kathleen, at home; three Patrick and Michael, at home, and Thomas E. Portland, a sister, Marjorie Bratcher, Streator, and three brothers, Jack Trotter, Streator; Harry McCann, Norfolk, and Thomas McCann, Ransom. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was member of Epiphany Church, Normal. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Spencer, East Gary, Mrs. Magdalen Durham, Pontiac, and Mrs. Mary Morris, Fairbury; two sons, Leo, Forrest, and Lewis, Portage, Ind.

Rose Catholic Church. Ralph Fuehring MACKINAW (PNS)-Ralph O. Fuehring, 46, of 304 W. Susan Lane died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mackinaw United Methodist the Rev. Donald Haworth and the Rev. Phillip Woodworth officiating. Burial will be in Minier Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Haensel Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 4, 1930, at Minier, a son of Gustav and Anna Kaffulka Fuehring. He married Dorothy Marie Jones Aug.

20, 1961, at Dyersburg, Tenn. She survives. Also surviving are five brothers, Ernest and Walter, both of Mackinaw; Donald, Morton; Carl, Chicago, and Paul, California. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was assistant claims manager for Pekin Farmers Insurance where he worked since 1947.

He was in Morris handling a claim the day he died. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the Marines. He was a member of the Mackinaw Lions Club and Businessmens' Association. He was vice president and chairman of the operating fund of the Mackinaw Sesquicentennial Association. He was a member of the Casualty Adjustors Association of Peoria, and attended Bradley University.

I 1 I I I I.i A rural Danvers man died at the wheel of his van early Thursday morning while driving it into Normal on U.S. 51. Donald R. Alsman, 51, was taken to Beck Memorial Home. A spokesman for the McLean County cororner's office said Mr.

Alsman died of an apparent heart attack and had a history of heart trouble. However, an autopsy was to have been performed. Deputy Coroner Larry Cooper said Mr. Alsman's van was seen driving onto the median of the highway about 200 yards north of the Interstate 55 overpass north of Normal. Passing motorists notified Normal police via citizens band radios, Cooper said, at 12:41 a.m.
