mmw mm Underused Lost And Found Section Over-Stocked Undoubtedly the most oversupplied and underused place at Smith-Cotton High School is the lost and found department. According to principal Earl Finley, what usually happens is that students will misplace things and then run into the office and say they were stolen, without even looking first. The student then runs home and tells his mother and father that his coat, books, boots or bandanna was stolen, which leaves the parents with the PHYLLIS JAN COLLINS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.

E. Collins, 813 East Broadway, Sedalia, will enter Central Missouri State College, Warrensburg, where she will major in business and accounting. She is a 1967 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School impression that the school is filled with thieves, pick-pockets and other such undesirables. Then the parents call the school what the younger generation is coming to, and why the school do something about the crime wave. This makes life difficult for the teacher of administratoi who knows that little darling really look for what was and that it probably will turn up if the pupil checks his classrooms, lunch room or even his back pockets or purse, as the case may be.

Items in the lost and found department include numerous bwks, coats, and other assorted things. There are also such humorous items as the lunch foi the hungry student, one loafei for the one-footed student, and a large supply of combination locks taken from lockers and placed on the doors to the rest rooms, on pipes, classroom door handles and just about any place where they removed. Most of the items are kepi for about six months before they are destroyed, with the exception that clothing items go to the Salvation Army Lunches are not kept. Finley said some clothing was recently given away but that large number of books stil remains. The books may be claimed at the lost anc found department.
