Any changes finally made would be the first in the text since 1948. Zoning maps are amended two or three times yearly, depending upon the number of changes made. Main purpose of the proposed changes would be to clarify some ambiguous sections, remove some repetition and change some sections that are considered contradictory. One reason for the change would be to add the recent amendment to permit off-street parking lots in residence areas, to serve nearby commercial districts. Recommendations of the zoning subcommittee will come before the entire planning commission at its meeting at 3:30 p.
