The disposal site consisting of 23 acres is located, in Long Beach 3 miles east of Lakewood Village adjacent to Carson Street on the north and San Gabriel Flood Control Channel on the west. Method of disposal will be by the cut-and-fill operation. A trench will be dug from 6 to 8 feet deep, 15 feet wide, then filled with refuse to about 6 feet above the original ground. The refuse will then be covered with feet of dirt from the trench.
